It is quite plausible that someone might be abroad as a temporary thing and not have changed their bank details eg my son studied in Italy for 15 months and did not change bank details and continued to use our home address as his banking address.

A UK address may arouse suspicions but I doubt they would block a subscription automatically.

I don't know how much effort they will put into investigating any suspect subscriptions.

Fair point.

I guess I will give it a shot with the VPN. Nearer the start of the though.

I emailed iFollow and asked if I could pay with a UK registered card and they said that was absolutely fine, you just need to be out of the country when you sign up and use the service. Somebody above said they signed up with their UK credit card so it sounds like it will work fine.

Did you ask if its works behind a vpn while still in the UK?

I would have thought that as soon as they see the billing address to be located in the UK they would reject it or cancel the sub etc.

Yeah it's possible, it depends on the payment system used, sometimes I buy something online and it needs my billiing address with the card details, sometimes it only needs my card details, not sure that the two necessarily need to correlate though for the payment to go through, I've bought things using my UK Santander card using my virtual USA address (for a parcel forwarding service in the US so you can buy things that can't be shipped to certain countries eg Amazon Prime TV which at the time was only available in the USA).

For the non technical silver surfers amongst us, how easy will it be to get all this live streaming thingy stuff?

Will I have to go abroad for a day to register before I can watch?

Will I have to be abroad on match day?

How will Brexit effect all this?

If Scotland get independence then will that count as abroad?

What about the IOM?

There are sooooo  many unanswered questions?

WTF:

You could go to Hull and use the ferry to log on lol

Don't go to Ireland through as that is not classed as overseas as per ifuckingtwats

It'll definitely be delayed, even more so now I reckon with it being a stream.

Taken from 2 pages back.  From your own post.

6. How much delay on the broadcast will there be compared to the real match? Live online streaming can be 20 secs to 2 minutes behind from live on actual venue.

I think this iFollow poo is a rip-off.

£2.12 per week to watch every Owls match live is ludicrously cheap and anyone who thinks that's a rip off is living in cloud cuckoo land, the problem for me is the fact it's pay for the full 12 months with no option at a monthly payment or refund if you're unhappy with the service.
