I see they are saying today they'll sell him for £1m as they will only get 450k development fee when he leaves in the summer with his contract expiring. We should try and wee wee Villa Chairman and Steve Bruce off by bidding for Hogan then pull out after we've seriously ramped up the price tag. They tried to sign him last summer and it's believed 25-year-old Marshall is on their shortlist again in January. Lambert said: "I know Ben really well. New foreign owners wanting to make their mark, as we did last year, transfers will spiral to a whole new level. We've blown our budget, whether we've spent it wisely, time will tell, but for now, we have to take advantage of being a little bit further down the line. We should be benefiting, because all our new signings should now be bedded in, whereas those now spending the big bucks, will take time for those new players to adjust.
