HOOTIE AND THE SHIT TU
have you ever tugged over muck, yet not un-workable the pornstar? course you have.. I put England first as that is what I was fortunatly enough to be born.. I chose Wednesday and so glad I did, but for me I am English first and foremost, I found it weird that English folk , should wish Stevie May to score against England, just cos we pay his wages. I dont put them 1st & only been to approx 10 games but there still my country, Hopefully going to Euro16 for my 40th. I'm not having a dig at either of you You choose England, good for you I choose my local team I'm a Sheffielder first, Yorkshireman second, Englishman third. Great Britain can fecking do one. Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.

JoshTheOwl
We've got a road trip to France 16' planned all being well. Germany 06' was fantastic. Wednesday 1st...England 2nd (don't forget we're talking football here! loads seem to be struggling with it) Planning to do the same. Hoping to get to all the games between now and then so we can go to the games using our England caps instead of relying on ticket touts like we did for Germany. Think I've got the 'bug' for following England at the moment, especially away. Chance to go to places I'll never go again. San Marino, Lithuania etc. I'm hoping France will attract more England fans back compared to recent tournaments. Very close to home this time. richowl
still worth going if you can't get tickets. amazing experience. we were in Cologne for the sweden game & watched it in a 'fanfest' area on the river rhine with 100k English!

The only way is S6
Proud to support both. Went to the game last night and had a cracking time. Exactly this. Top night out. Winning away at your oldest rivals in a local derby, it doesn't get much better. Home by 2.30am. Plus, the support for England & Wednesday is very similar, always travel in large numbers, have a good laugh & always make plenty of noise backing the team. Usually the match is the worst bit, but not on the last 3 trips, thankfully.
OxonOwl
If it is a straight choice it would still depend. Choice between seeing England play in the World Cup final or Weds v Rotherham, I know which I'd choose. I would choose Wednesday for most other matches though. PortlandOwl
Wednesday always....never been able to associate with the England team and its overpayed, pampered premiership players.
Simmo200
How many times does this thread come up. Pretty stupid, I follow both England & Wednesday, neither effect each other. Great time in Scotland. You should try it one time

sweetsheri
Wednesday every time. Although if England play with the passion and flair they did the other night then i will be a more interested fan in the future

Great time in Scotland. You should try it one time Spot on. I love them equally. The ones that just say Wednesday i will never understand. (Not sure they fully understand or like football) Some of the reasons are laughable. ''can't associate with the over paid pampered players'' What the hell does that make Wednesday players then, if anyone is overpaid it's them!!! swfc-dan
Support both but of course Wednesday burns stronger inside me. Used to watch some England matches a few years back but Capello put me off going anymore with the dour football. Haven't been back since and not really been too persuaded to return until the recent better performances. So I just spend my money on Wednesday. RichieB
England or Wednesday To put into context where my feelings lie. I'd rather wednesday get a corner than england beat anyone. I'd rather Wednesday get 3 points in an important game than England win the World Cup. England....couldn't give a foook about them. I was cheering on Scotland to score when Stevie May came on because they were more Wednesday. Edited November 20, 2014 by RichieB
Pompeyowl
Just a thought Any of you guys that put England first, ever been to see them live? No axe to grind or anything, I'm genuinely interested Yes. Yet to go away with them yet, but I'm hoping one day I'll be able to do so.

asteener1867
Wednesday for me...means more...its more personal..and it happens every week. Its a football question..got sod all to do with patriotism...its parochialism, Now before folk hark on about The Somme...got nowt to do with it..thats political... Its not as though Rooney was chargin' the trenches at Ypres..
Lincs Owl
Wednesday. Only time I've ever seen England was 1962 v France in Euro Nations Cup. The match was played literally at the bottom of my road (Herries Rd). Won't see them again unless they play at Hillsbro.... and that won't happen now. All those years when Wembley was demolished and they played at grounds like Ipswich and Southampton..... but never at Hillsboro or The Lane.
