Popular Post SheffWed
I’m sorry, but how many times have we heard this? Few choice words, players not happy, reaction needed etc. They simply don’t learn, it’s the same mistakes time and time again. Players stood there staring at each other after conceding a goal, heads down, walking back, that’s not learning, Set pieces, again and again, it’s pathetic. It’s the basics of football and at times we are seriously lacking it. 20

matthefish2002
If we had points for players and managers being able to talk a good game we would be top of the league. The Middlesborough performance was not a one off.
owlZfan84
They probably just all stood there pointing at each other and walking around the dressing room. 1
briggowl
10th highest wage bill in the league, something has gone seriously wrong with our negotiating (almost as though DC doesn't know what he's doing). They should all be ashamed of themselves robbing us fans blind then can't be bothered to play for their money. Seriously let us down players!!! We've had serious words and inquests blah blah blah, give 110% on the pitch or your words are just empty
Dutch McLovin
To be honest this is why it’s vital we stay in the league, I think then we have a chance of retaining Röhl and even if not backed by the chairman as we all know he won’t be the players he will bring in with be vast and have a different mentality. Don’t think there will be many of the same faces we have had for a while here next season, and the ones that are (Bannan) won’t be relied on week on week. However if we go down it will be someone new who will think oh these can go a job, when we have all seen there failings over the years.

SheffWed
When does it become the players are taking the p*ss? Lose a game, in the aftermath we hear reaction needed, players had words, meetings, next game, we need a performance blah, blah.. only to fall flat on their faces.. Then rinse and repeat.
paulmat
We definitely don't have the 10th highest wage bill...

jp1981
Which ever league we are in, time to get rid of most of the out of contract players. Hopefully Danny and his staff will be, most importantly, still here and allowed to build a squad to there ilk. Time for the same faces to be replaced.

For far too long, Sheffield Wednesday have had a soft underbelly and a lack of backbone. Yes, we have the Peterborough comeback, but the amount of times we have pathetically collapsed over the years. We all know that if we go a goal down on Saturday that it is probably game over. Soft as sh*t.

Whilst I agree that a lot should be let go, I'd only really keep Bernard, Bannan and possibly Iorfa. How many times though do we have lots of players out of contract that we should get rid of most of them, happens far too often, no way to run a club. room0035
For me Bannan time as captain should be coming to an end, hes a good player but a poor captain. a Nigel Pearson or Des Walker or Carlton Palmer would not allow the poo performance after poo performance that has happened under Bannan leadership. We then get the 'we have had a talk to clear the air', this is the 4th or 5th this season. 109% effort and commitment should be every game but too often the players look like they would rather be anywhere else than on the pitch. Its time for a change and in the summer there needs to be a big clear out, of too many players not in it for the club, but themselves.

That's probably from the Capology wage figures (where we are paying Hendrick 50k per week). They admit they are made up. Clubs aren't allowed to state wages. Let's not repeat fake clickbate stats even when it suits the argument.

S72 Owl
We’ve had a few poor games this season yes, but let’s not get carried away. In most games this season (since Röhl took charge) the effort has been there. If effort is there and the players give there all that’s all we can ask for. 2nd half against Middlesbrough the effort clearly wasn’t there but I’m not going along with the narrative that the players don’t care, generally this season the players have given there best. Now let’s do our job and get behind the players for the last 6 games.

Soft as sh*t. Very true unfortunately. Always when it really matters. The playoffs last season were an extremely rare exception. And we were only in them due to yet another collapse.
