DARREN MOORE PRESS CONFERENCE

Recommended Posts

I just don't get DM at all. He sees things in his own little world. I don't think anyone else sees it like him. Truely Bewildering.

It's all very well saying we battled well to get to 2-1, but explains nothing about again being so poo in the first half. How he lined us up, why he continues to play players out of position, how the team looks so clueless, why we can't create chances in open play, why we can mark at set plays. We he can't influence a game once it goes.

Does anyone know anyone else who would have played Johnson at CB and Shodipo at wingback? Am sure Theo seemed to also be at wingback for a bit. It's just so ******** weird and I've never heard myself saying "WTF" so much!! I've also yet to see us string more than 20mins  decent play in any game.

Why don't we actually go out to press and impose on games. We should be all over sides in the first 25 mins. Sure we may not get a lead etc, but it stops them from getting into their own rhythm. Make adjustments at half time and crack on with it in the 2nd.  It won't work all the time, but at least it gives the fans something to get behind and believe in. Release the shackles and let them use their talents, cos whatever DM is doing it ain't working and we haven't progressed since game 1. That should not be the case. It's frightening.

He isn’t intelligent enough to understand or realise what he has and will continue to do wrong.

our formation is 5 at the back. We cannot play this way, we haven’t been able to for the last 4 years since Jos tried to play this way.

we try and play out at the back we cannot do this.

he doesn’t play the 5 wingers we’ve brought in.

he needs to go

Hark at her.

Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King"
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled

But to reconcile players and fans

The sooner we have a new manager with plans

Peace at Hillsboro will come back

And Chansiri can continue to take the flack

(Apologies for Moore-induced boredom and hysteria)

I've made it scan more betterer.

I'm convinced he comes out with all this waffle to keep Chansiri sweet and keep himself in a job. Chansiri admitted himself to have little understanding of football so he is probably  taken in with all the nonsense Moore comes out with. Plus Moore is a nice guy who will not rock the boat, a prerequisite of any manager Chansiri chooses.

Need a new Manager for sure,  so who are realistic candidates?  It's a great opportunity for somebody because there's talent enough in the Squad,  and if the new guy can step in and turn this mess around,  such an achievement would add much to his reputation.

Wednesday probably won't attract a "name" Manager,  but for some "no-name" looking to make a name,  this is a great opportunity.  I honestly do not believe  the Squad is the problem.  That Donny fan who made that great thread the other day is right,  this Squad, in tune, could walk this League,  and he spoke with no insults or malice,  just experience.

I agree

Lots say his recruitment was good. I thought that too to some degree

Then you see how he is trying to play and realise his recruitment is terrible

Once again we have a massive imbalance in the team

Darren says the errors require analysis. Why?

There's no need, it's a job done. The errors are being repeated and repeatedly analysed. It's a  Football Groundhog Day.

I suggest that the Owls' sports psychologist forgets the players and then focuses all that saved time on the manager and subjects his reasoning and actions to in depth analysis

I thought one of his attributes was that he knew this league?

Well it seems he has no idea how to get us to at least match the intense work rate of every team we've played so far who close us down while we stand off and let teams play against us. Every team we've played so far seem to want to win it more than we do and they don't give up... whereas we crumble.

Add to that this obsession of playing players out of position, changing line ups match to match and no discernable style then it explains why we are shamefully fragile.

Finally, playing it out of the back in league 1 is ridiculously risky, plus it slows us down and allows opponents to get organized and get everybody behind the ball to deny us space.

We know teams are going to raise their game against us but we are like clueless rabbits in headlights and it's rinse and repeat with no improvement from one game to the next. We lack commitment and lack concentration as we are too negative and hand the initiative to our opponents.

Apart from all these everything is fantastic.

Why can we see where obvious issues need to be addressed and DM cannot?

Is he oblivious to his repeated poor decisions or is he just being stubborn and carrying on with his crazy methods thinking that everything will magically click into place like it was the grand plan all along?

What on earth do all the back room staff that are there to support and advise him do? Are they giving sound information to him that’s just being blatantly ignored or are they seemly as clueless as he is?
