The importance of Moore being a ‘nice guy’

Sorry Jockie nowt to do with football really ...

Well kind of a statement of life whichever way you look at it ...

I was about to make love to a woman 20 years my senior when I was in my early twenties.

Last word she uttered as she led me into the bedroom was those words of confidence...

"Nice Guys Finish Last"....

Best advice a woman ever gave me really ......

Brilliant - Love it !!!

It will be important in ensuring we stay L1

How many successful managers are nice guys?  People say Klopp but I doubt it where/when it really counts.

How about Ranieri at Leicester, won the league and was nice.

Managed lots of other big clubs.

Not playing the race card here, but apart from Chris Powell at Charlton, what other black managers have been successful.?

So without playing the race card, that comment would read:

Jack Charlton.

He was about as honest as you could get from what I can tell - now this is before my time as a fan of course (of course!)

He was brutal with his words from what I can tell, but only brutal when it was needed.

Essentially he was a nice guy, he just had the natural instinct to say things how they were.   You acted like a fool he told you.   You acted naively, he told you.   You deserved praise, he told you.   You needed a clip round the ear, he gave it.    You needed an ear to listen, he gave it.

That is what I have garnered about this man, I would hope to be put right by those who went to matches during his time and could tell me if I am correct or not.

Depends on now you define success. It it can only mean the type of career that fergie, wenher, robson etc had then we will never meet the criteria.

and we know nothing of what Moore is like. He might just be a friendly guy. Doesn’t mean he can’t be nasty when needed

and from my list is defo say that ranieiri was successful

Successful yes but nice guy?

The last few seasons it's been the same nutters ranting about how he's too nice that were spouting that our managers don't wave their arms about enough on the touchline during games

lol

Once you dispel one ridiculous notion they come up with another and start frothing at the mouth about that instead

Next it will be what trainers they wear

The only successful nice guy so far is Bobby Robson and he never wore trainers.

I can imagine he is quite different behind closed doors.

You don’t win the Prem by being a nice guy.

Moore is likely different behind closed doors, what makes you think that he would be different to Ranieri in that respect.
