Harris and Luongo

Recommended Posts

Unless I’ve missed something, but don’t seem to have heard anything about these two and whether they will be here next season.

I think Luongo would struggle in league 1 just because there will be more games and he I can’t see him getting more than 25 appearances. Harris on the other hand is reliable from a fitness perspective but shocking end product but would br handy in league 1 i feel.

People might say they aren’t bothered if they leave but I think at this stage it’s about having as many players as possible

Released, but not yet left.

He's still trying to find his way past this chap...

Barn door was always his biggest threat

Luongo has been a nightmare signing.

The brief Bruce era signings were all really a disaster , some through no fault of their own:

Bates - never played and vanished

Harris - Poor

Borner - Poor aside from first 2 months

Luongo - crocked

Iorfa - great player but crocked

Murphy - a good loan signing.

Add in the recontracting of Westwood in particular on big money, it was a very poor outcome from those decisions.

Bates, Murphy, Luongo were all signed when Bullen was in Caretaker charge I believe?

Not sure about Iorfa, he just had a really bad injury up until which he was always available. Different with luongo who was just always in and out because of small injuries. I think the latter is more of a sign of weakness tbh.

Have to be careful talking about the Messiah like that. There’s plenty who feel he could do no wrong and would have had us in the playoffs at a minimum.
