I remember plenty on here saying he didn't have the funds to buy a club and slagging  him off.

He doesn’t

He is a front man for a consortium, same as he was when he made the bid for us. He has the funds, regardless of whether they are his or his backers.

Not convinced by Alonso, something not right about the way he went about courting fans on social media etc.

Proper wealthy owners don't do that. Always had a air of Geoff Sheard about him.

Will be interesting to see the details of the deal and how it pans out though.

Not sure with this one. I have a feeling they might have some early success and then he will progress to destroy them.

Dodged a bullet there.

Maybe this is all part of DC's masterplan? Fake fall out with advisor who then buys out our relegation rivals only to put them into admin the following day and keep us up?

If so, either DC was banking on us not being in the bottom two or another ex advisor is about to take over at Brum!

Who said DC was clueless!

It will not end well for Derby.

Do you think he might get them relegated, spaff £zillions, get embargo after embargo and lose their stadium?

That bad?

This fakeover won’t happen.  He’s about  as credible as Sheard or Cloud 9.

Based on what? The truth is we really don’t know yet.

As for slagging him off for engaging with fans on social media- that’s kind of the way of the world now. EVERYTHING is done through there.

He might end up having the funding if he's persuaded some investors he's an expert on football.

I mean, a European agent/advisor/spiv with a bit of swagger and claiming to have knowledge of the game could make a lot of money from a gullible Eastern business man who doesn't know what he's doing couldn't he ...

Makes you wonder what the motivation is for these buyers - inevitable trading losses seem to be the outcome - Man City the latest. I get the prestige but really, it's just a loss-making hobby with players holding the clubs to ransom.

This guy seems like an enthusiastic front man/agent and appears to have served his clients well in getting the deal over the line. Be interesting to see what role he'll have at Derby - similar to Paxo perhaps, or moves on to the next job.

Thing is our fans once again lashed out against someone and vilified them right from the start

All without having any facts or idea of what kind of person he is etc

Everyone mocked him, laughed at the possibility of him buying a club and took the mick out of him

All without knowing anything about him

He’s bought Derby

We are getting relegated

excellent post Neil and very true.
