The decision to release a striker and not have the funds, plan or capability to replace him with someone of equal ability.  #sheffieldwednesday

This is definitely the point.

Whether you liked him or not, being objective, you know if Nuhiu plays a full season of Championship footie he scores a certain number of goals. Evidence for that can be seen is the Gray era. Now some people will think that's enough, some will think we need more from a striker. Both opinions are fine. But I'm sure we can all agree that if the replacement for Nuhiu scores fewer goals than Nuhiu does, it wasn't worth letting him go.

Patterson and Marriot. Nuhiu is better than both.

Paterson has 6 goals this season already. Nuhiu averaged less than that in better teams. I don’t rate either of them and both can’t play the lone striker role.

So far this season he has scored precisely zero goals in 17 appearances in the Cypriot League.

Why this strange obsession with a none goal scoring centre forward?

*checks league table since he left*
*checks our goals scored tally since he left*
*checks to see how many goals each of our strikers have scored this season each*
*reads the above criticism again*
*checks league table after he left again*
*walks away confused*

He was awful. Our current strikers are awful.

Minimum requirement for a CF is that they can find the onion bag between 15-20 times per season.

I just dont get this strange longing for an ex player who didnt meet this criteria at all in his 6 seasons with us.

Interesting also that Bannan has more/as many assists as any other 2 players put together BUT he’s the problem. 😂

Jordan Rhodes is the highest goal to shot converter at the club

One in three shots goes in the net

All we have to do each game is get him three shots on goal

Averaged 5.5 goals a season in n Championship in much better teams than what we have now but is the answer.

Paterson's managed to get 6 but no way offers what Nuhiu offered. Having said that we shouldn't even be having a discussion about either of them.

Checks clubs that were after him when Wednesday didn't renew his contract.

Other clubs buying him or not is irrelevant

All that's relevant to this club is that we let a striker go, we've not scored goals, and we've got relegated

Guest Bulgaria

Actually brought a tear to my eye.

Loved him.

If I was down, upset or needed a shoulder.... Atty would be the one I would go to.

I bet a cuddle from Atty would make things ok again.

That Preston goal...
