He's been looking at kids and barely anyone of them are old enough tocshave, then signs a 30 year old ex player, for a position he already has Palmer, Iorfa and Dawodu. But is working on a shoestring with 4 options at right back

Yes this is definitely a DM signing.😁😁😁😁😁

Love posts like this, when a player says he signed after speaking to the gaffer and what he wants and expects from him.

Hunt why are you lieing 🤔

Depends if it the chose, being put in front of the manager are this guy or no one, a manager will always take a player but that doesn't mean it his player.

Carlos did it for 3 seasons with players he didnt sign.

Take things at face value, rather than saying something that doesn't on the face of it seem to be lie, but hey, that's just how I roll.

Surely we should have been in for Mullin. We are so unbelievably short upfront and he should have been an achievable signing.

Mullin was wanted by the likes of Bristol Rovers and as it’s turned out, non league Wrexham. I’m hoping we have our sights set on slightly better players. Such as loans from PL clubs

And we are off.

Every signing so far....brilliant that DMs in charge of transfers. Chansiri has seen sense.

Hunt signs....obvious now that DMs not in charge of signings Chansiri is a clown. Just amazed nobody has said it’s Paxo yet.

In Darren Moore managerial career spanning West Brom, Doncaster and Us, Jack Hunt is only the 5th player out of about 40+ signings that DM had made that is 30 and over.

When DM came in he was too make us a young, hungry side, with energy.

We have next to no money to spend on anyone and bringing in a 4th option at right back is one of the managers priority before signing a striker or keeper??

We’ve lost out on Paul Mullin….to Wrexham.

I say lost out. We were probably never in for him.

I know Wrexham are quids in. But a very odd move still.

They’re calling him Paul Mullon on their OS🤦🏽

Where can I see this brief explaining the type of players Moore is supposed to sign?

Why do so many assume, that any player who signs elsewhere, we weren’t in for?

We have an unbelievable belief, that all these players are gagging to come here. They’re not ( shock, horror). We are an unattractive spent force, that will only attract players that no other clubs want. Get real.

Whatever your thoughts on us signing Hunt, he’s arguably better than any of the right-back options we had before his arrival?

But we’re not signing any strikers so let’s all jump off a cliff?

He only managed 3 teams its not a long list.

But I ask you, if you are having kids on trial, have signed a left back with next to no first team experience, a central midfielder whos 22 only playing 20 odd games, then brought in a lad from QPR for the wing whose 24 with no experience above league one.

We have a manager saying in public he is looking at keepers and strikers then we sign an ex player right back, even though we have 2 senior players and one kid making the step up, who can play in that position. The sign just make no sense unless we have players being sold which in Palmer's case is very unlikely.

Too many Jim brought up on football manager, they think its just a case of identifying players and then signing them.

What are these four options at right back?

Centre-halfs played out of position and kids?

Palmer, Iorfa and Dawowu

Palmer is a right back

Iorfa is a right back converted to centre back who previous was signed as a right back and has played many games there but for injury last season would still be a right back.

Josh Dawowu sign from the Arsenal youth team a few years ago plays right back and has played that position in some of the friendlies this preseason.

3 decent options

Striker options err we dont have any

So there is no brief explaining the type of players Moore is supposed to sign?

He has brought in four players so far.  Two 22-year-olds, a 24-year-old, and a 30-year-old.  The common denominator being that they were all free.

Seems pretty normal to me.

DM needed to sign a whole host of players and yes the strikers position and probably goal keeper are priority.  But I don’t understand why no one should be signed until these positions are filled first which is what some seem to be implying.

He presumably has a list of positions and when the right opposites Along signs someone and ticks that box.
