James Beattie

Recommended Posts

I’d love to know how Beattie and Hughes feel about the system.

They’ve come in after Monk used this system.

Monks always been a 433, 442, 4231 man.

He’s become so stubborn on the formation that the only way we have changed is when one of those defenders has been sent off.

Surely Beattie and Hughes are in his ear saying this isn’t working.

But we had different strikers!  Christ we've signed a striker who's a defender!  Can't really blame Beattie for that.

even so. Beattie is our striker head honcho. He’s taking then in training.

what's he doing on the training ground as it’s clearly not working on the pitch

Or they possibly just go with the flow as the final say is Monk’s.

I think if Monk goes, we’d ask Beattie to take the team, and then Beattie would make probably make changes if he never liked it anyway.

I think similar happened when Bullen took over from Carlos who was struggling.

I does make you think - why not say this at the time !   Doesn’t it

Maybe the strikers are having balls passed to them in training, they're not getting many in games.

Does anybody know what he is actually doing with the strikers. Since his arrival they have actually got worse. I would love to actually watch one of his sessions. Thoughts?

Our strikers are poor, you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

Amazingly, James Beattie whose own management experience ran to a few months and a win ratio of 27.6% at Accrington Stanley...exactly...hasn’t brought a lot to the party.

Spot On

Couldnt believe some of the crap I was reading on here about Beattie turning our misfiring strikers into world beaters.
