They had style of play and the novelty of overlapping cbs. At some point, pl teams would get wise to it and they would need to mix it up a bit. Having watched some of the 2nd half last night, they are just one-dimensional - not really changed from last season, just a worst keeper; opposition teams knowing how to cancelled their threat and general lack of confidence; particularly up front. If they don't start scoring they're done. If they don't start to be more expansive they're done.
