Said the man who has spent £120m buying said players

The same players who had them riding the crest of a wave last season? We’re they not good enough then Chris?

Oh wait, he added a load of dumplings for the tune of 120m+ and, they’re worse for it.

I actually despise the man.

Wilder's an horrible piece of work isn't he?

Such a snide, arrogant bàstard. A complete shít of a man.

What a wànker.

It must be strange for him. Last season he was never off the tv and radio. In the sport pages almost every day. Guest spots on MOTD, SSN Quest and now nothing.

Derby had 7 points by Christmas though.

Ah, but you haven't read this:-

Derby got some right hammerings.....just look at this!

Liverpool 0-6 A
Villa 0-6 H
Chelsea 1-6 A
Arsenal 2-6 H
W Ham 0-5 H
Arsenal 0-5 A
Spurs 0-4 A
Reading 0-4 H
Man U 1-4 A

...and 7 more losses by 2 or 3 goals. I know a loss is a loss but we are really not too far off getting some results......are we?

The worst keeper in the division and by some distance.

There's a few dodgy ones, but Ramsdale looks barely League One level.

Never been overly sure about signing keepers from a team who a) got relegated and b) conceding a shed load of goals.

Watch the highlight reel and you will see some nice saves, but that's bread and butter for any half decent keeper.

Thought the same when Everton spent 30 million on Pickford.

Let's be honest the only reason Wilder signed him is because he's a pig like him.

When we got relegated in 1974-75 we went second half of season scoring just 2 goals picking up 1 point, most of the defeats was by odd goal, opposition only needed to score odd goal because we hardly ever created any goalscoring chances, they're doing same in most games now.

They’re so close that they’ve only got a -18 goal difference

To be honest, that does indicate a string of narrow, one goal defeats. P15 L13 GD-18. Take out the -3 in the one game against Chelsea and the other twelve defeats have resulted in -15.

if they make up 11 points GD won’t be an issue

True. The goal difference being worth an extra point is only really the case when there isn’t a huge points gap to make up, unless they’re getting battered every week. If they can claw back 11 points then it’s likely there will naturally be a big swing in goal difference too.
