Yeah

We should all have a massive party

I am definitely celebrating. On the 600 page thread I asked if we had been relegated yet?  A few minutes later, the answer NO and we were not going to be, So Massive news, Monk out is next step forward!

So a bloke whos sunk 60odd million into an entity and owns it's only real asset is not going to hold that to ransom? Or just keep it and flog it. The sale of the ground is a disaster, an utter disaster

Hey, it Chansiri is good enough to stop us getting relegated to the now League Two, he's doing ok in my book.

Fair point and I was wrong on the Southend match,it was 2-1 and not 2-0. It's my age playing tricks in me.

He also owns a house in Bangkok but I'm not sure if I'm comforted by that.

If Wednesday get sold, does the new owner get the Chansiri house in Bangkok and that few % of Thai Union?  If not, why not?  Because they are separate business and personal entities, that's why.

Just like Sheffield 3 Ltd and Sheffield Wednesday are separate.

Club and ground could/would obviously be sold together to maximise prices once Chansiri has had enough.

He would keep his Thai house(s) and tuna to return to a normal peaceful life,

Club and ground could/would be sold together to maximise price of both!

 Why is it obvious?

How so when there's a lease agreement between Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield 3 Ltd?

Let us just hope Chansiri does not leave, but that Monk does,

Which is worth more: the club or the ground?

Why would he not sell both simultaneously to maximise total price?

Not necessarily at all, the 'club's is worth nothing unless in the prem with some cash generation.  And the maximising price is half the point, he can hold us to ransom and demand more money than the ground is worth, unless someone is stupid enough to bail us out we're screwed, it's a noose round our neck.... why not cut your losses and sell the ground for development and just down the club...or, sell the club and charge a massive rent, if people want to save the club they'll pay it.

It's the worst thing to happen to us for a long long time

Because 30 years of rent might well pay for many things, even if a new owner doesn't want to pay much for the club itself.

To generate a nice 4m a year income like one of the leeds owners. I don't know the rent, probably peppercorn, but I bet it's very very easy for it to be increased.....money nearly back in a decade and still own the asset

I would have voted out even before any deduction ... the guy is clueless and his motley crew that he relies on are even worse.

Wasn't his fault the way things transpired.

The repercussions of throwing everything at getting promoted in the first 2 seasons, none of us blamed him at the time.

Now he's public enemy number 1.
