Average in all departments- bye

Was going to put this. Worked his socks off but nothing special, average all round. Pointless signing but never given a run to try and prove himself.

Never given a chance

Given 45 minutes one game then dropped the next

How anyone expects a striker to be consist on that I don't know

Proved at dingles and Derby he could deal at this level

But pure Wednesday style we prefer playing lump to wardrobe tactics

He was on the crest of a wave when we signed him. Bang in form, and we signed him for peanuts in the grand scheme of things. But then the week after we blew 10 million on Rhodes. And like a lot of signings during that period they were chucked on a stock pile never to really be given a chance.

I was mega critical when we signed him and Rhodes, but plenty were blinded by the fact they’d scored goals for nothing teams. Just one look at their limited attributes, would have told you it would end this way. Two of the most disastrous signings in our recent history

Is there a reason for that or is it just plain  coincidence.

The reason is clear as day, all three have a limited skill set for a modern footballer You can’t get away with that anymore

That double swoop in January 2017 for winnall and Rhodes was an absolute disaster.

We has plenty of strikers anyway and I acknowledge that we did have a couple who were struggling with injuries.

But we needed pace in that team in wide areas. But no, we go and purchase 2 strikers who are both limited footballers.

Only wednesdsy can sign an in form striker for next to nothin..and still not turn a profit😩

Only Wednesday could sign an out of form striker for the best of 10m, drop the in form striker, loose a load of money, and play neither player on a regular basis, rendering them worthless.

Would any of our playoff rivals signed him at time, I don't think so.

He signed for us because we quadrupled his wages..he could have gone to several of our rivals..but none got near our offer.

He came for next to nothing 500k cos his contract was about to expire...which pisssed Barnsley off..

He was doing ok with Barnsley, looked like a good deal..( being we were looking good for promotion)..for next to nothing transfer fee wise.

Went titts up, it does sometimes.

Was disappointed we loaned him out to Derby. Thought he always looked better than Rhodes.

Your second sentence could apply to a lot of players.
