They aren't arguing that they are arguing Force Majeure so it will be really interesting as it could set a precedent for any future appeals etc

Excuse my ignorance so covid then? But didn’t he only take over a couple of weeks before admin? Seems a bit skimpy.  What I meant was HE put them into admin within a couple of weeks. Is he claiming “oh poo! I didn’t realise what I bought” or

” oh poo I didnt realise these were consequences” or

” oh poo. I never thought they’d actually stop up”

Those pathetic fans post COVID.  Absolutely no atmosphere at Hillsborough, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Funnily enough, the fans could have made a contribution to Morgan Foxes decision to not sign a new contract.

And before lockdown he was one of our best players.

If the club has gone into administration then the ‘owner’ no longer owns the club or it’s assets. It is administered by HMRC Official Receiver to act on behalf of the creditors. It’d be interesting to see if it is the administrator attempting to protect the assets so that tax is paid and then the creditors...harder in League 1.

What a waste of a cake ball.

Could’ve just gone for the longest running football disciplinary case in history instead.

No matter how long the EFL searches, it’ll still struggle to cover up its ineptitude on this.

If there was a clear cut case of being guilty of something, I’m sure it would all have been wrapped up ages ago.

Maybe someone could tell us what the outcome was to their team after experiencing this on Football Manager and whether they employed the services of Nick De Marco.

Today's cryptic message

Maybe even he thinks its getting pasta joke!

Chickory leaves?

Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow,

Creeps in this petty thread from day to day,

Where did the referee find all this added time?

And all our yesterdays we patient Owls

Have come online and found no news.

Out, out, when will awaited judgement come?

Who can perform under such shadows? We are like

Poor players; we jog aimlessly an hour,

And then have to be subbed. Justice, delayed, becomes denied.

Another tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,

Signifying sweet EFL.

(with apologies to W Shakespeare, former left back for The Lord Chamberlain’s XI)

My  friend, that is one of the most classy post ever seen on Owlstalk.   Your next contribution should commence....

To be or not to be,

Whether it s nobler to accept relegation this season

Or arm ourselves with many appeals

And end up with a points deduction

At some indeterminate future date

Over to you MoorfOwl

Wigan appeal should be over quickly.

" Did you call in the administrators?"

"Erm, sort of , a bit".

"Yes or no?"

"Might have."

" Is that a yes."

"Could be."

"One last time, yes or no?"

"Yes."

"The rules say if you call in administrators you get a 12 point deduction, so you are bang to rights."

" Next."lol

It really is as simple as that

If the Administrators had the back up of saying the owner battled for years trying to keep the club going before eventually falling foul of the ramifications of covid then they mat have had a case for a decrease in punishment

But the owners walked in and realised what he's bought doesn't look as good as the pictures in the brochure and has thought get rid before it starts costing me

Barnsley:

Down - looking doomed for most of the season and relegation certainties

Up - Battle to secure points after commencement of football and Wigan deduction saves them

Down - Wigan win appeal and are reprieved ... Barnsley relegated

Up - Wednesday found guilty and deducted 12 points ... Barnsley reprieved again

ITK FACT lol
