Bit of a joke I dont mind clubs selling players, but I do think parachute payments should be excluded from P&S calculations alltogether. To be expected EPL clubs will have saleable assets, if they have to sell them to comply, so be it, others have to. If they can sell for good money and reinvest, so be it.

oldishowl
Parachute payments were a device to help clubs when the massive financial difference between the PL and Championship was relatively new and clubs like us didn’t understand it and had got into trouble because of it. Clubs understand now, Most plan for it both in recruitment and financial planning if they are a bottom half team. Relegation clauses and player sales solve the problem. If the club gambles and get into trouble serves them right. Need to be gone and money spread across more teams

What’s really strange is surely it’s the owner that put them into admin ( alledgedly to win a bet) that’s appealing? what’s his grounds??

They aren't arguing that they are arguing Force Majeure so it will be really interesting as it could set a precedent for any future appeals etc
MoorfOwl
Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow, Creeps in this petty thread from day to day, Where did the referee find all this added time? And all our yesterdays we patient Owls Have come online and found no news. Out, out, when will awaited judgement come? Who can perform under such shadows? We are like Poor players; we jog aimlessly an hour, And then have to be subbed. Justice, delayed, becomes denied. Another tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying sweet EFL. (with apologies to W Shakespeare, former left back for The Lord Chamberlain’s XI) 4 2
