THE EFL HEARING THREAD

Recommended Posts

The delay could be because they want to delay.

If both clubs are to receive a points deduction, even though the cases are different.

One could be ineffective, Derby.

The other could be really effective and end up being a far worse punishment.

However the cases are different and maybe ours does deserve a worse punishment.

With every day that goes by surely the less likely any point deduction would be applied to the season that has just finished. Can’t be long until the fixtures are announced for next season as well, leagues need to be sorted before then. It really is crazy the announcement is taking so long. Perhaps a decision has already been made but the losing side is currently going through an appeal.

I think the signing of the  man City kid speaks volumes.  No way would he be signing for a league 1 club.  I wonder if the verdict is a score draw with fault on both sides.  A suspended points deduction could result from this.

So then you’re in the ‘the club knows the result’ camp

Or maybe we (and even Derby) are innocent.

FFS; how many more times does  this possibility need adding to people’s list of potential verdicts?

So you know the details of both cases, and as you obviously know all the evidence can you please point out what the evidence against us and Derby is and why you think that the panel are taking so long to decide if we don't have a defence?

again, any potential points deduction will not be applied this season because there is not enough time to get the verdict, wait two weeks for us or them to appeal and then convene another panel and go through the evidence again

we will be into next season before all that happens

And if the verdict had already been made, it would have been published, as would the knowledge that there had been an appeal lodged, this has happened in every other case

I read somewhere that the season officially ends on 4th August.  Don't know why, or where I read it, but that would mean we have to be informed by next Tuesday doesn't it?

makes sense what you are saying but could a decision already have been made and an appeal is currently going on or has just finished?

Think some people might be expecting too much from him tbh.

100% this. Really hope the lad is quality but the fact is he hasn’t played any first team games so we don’t know how he will handle league football. Needs time to continue his development. Personally I still want us to sign another midfielder or 2.

Only just read the statement made to the media by Barnsleys chairman back on the 19th.

He really lays in to us.

Labels us cheats etc.

Apparently now Barnsley are allowed to speak to the independent panel deciding Wigans case...

Ffs haahah

Do you understand the word could?

As in not a resolute answer more of another question.
