Don't get me wrong they played really well today but they are paid to score.
FreshOwl
It may work in the odd match, but moving forward I absolutely don’t want to see it consistently used. We need a goal scoring partner for Fletch Edited October 26, 2019 by FreshOwl
Ian
Only on Owlstalk could someone open a thread saying they’d like to see the front 2 as a partnership again based on today when we scored the grand total of zero goals
MrsHall
Avant garde strike force...Leeds didn't like it at all. UTO.
WalthamOwl
Only slight criticism of Monk today for me was that he didn’t bring FF on earlier.

LoadABallacks
I’d love to see someone more mobile with more movement up there with Fletcher. There were a few occasions today where it was crying out for a forward to run in behind their high line.

Agree. The management obviously assess each game on its own merit and if thats what they think we need, then we have to trust their judgement. It will change from week to week. Im on board. Salmonbones
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I would have had WInnall as the 2nd striker, not Nuhiu today. I say hindsight, but I did say that as soon as I understood the conditions - today was ripe for your instinctive attack minded players like Winnall and FF. LiamAP22D
It's a good partnership and we'd have beat 95% of teams in this league playing with that effort and commitment today. Just unlucky should really have ended 2-2.
Salmonbones
I'm just watching the game back after recording it on sky, and I must say you get a different perspective. I thought our performance was ok, now looking back I can see we lost out to quite a lot of free kicks we should have won, 50/50's we didn't get and some blatant cheating by alioski - and both Fletcher and Nuhiu working a lot harder than I saw first time around. Also Reach - had a very good game. Reach could step up to top flight football easily and I know i'll get knocked for saying that because it's not common on here to praise him but he is class. Carl Shutt is God
Last time Nuhiu was due to be out of contract he turned into Ibrahimovic so hopefully he will have a storming 2nd half of the season and score the goals to send us up!!
