A very tough game. They play a high press game. We need to get in behind with our new found pace. If we want a successful season we need to win these sort of games. Especially at home. Need Hillsborough to become a fortress this season.

A very difficult game, they are full of energy and will close us down quickly.

 

Our new signings give me more confidence, but my concern is that it's the Wednesday way to now go and be humbled by a defeat and deflate the optimism.

 

That said, I'm going for a  2-0 win courtesy of another late goal from a substitute  to settle the nerves.

Barnsley with an impressive - and according to Biggs a deserved one too - win v Fulham last weekend. Fully expect them to turn up with fighting spirit. We on the other hand have a lot of new signings come in, the current squad must perform to keep their places now and impress in the first game of the season at home. Predicting a dog fight but hope we pass the test and come out with another 3-1 victory. Goals from Fletcher, Reach and Bannan.

What fitness regime ? See how many we can get in the treatment room The difference was at the back our portugeezer had Leuvens who could play a pass. The flying dutch man tried to get Lees to pass it out.
