Jim
Who’d have thought when we signed him that we’d be saying over a year later that signing him has arguably one of the biggest mistakes we’ve ever made?
poite
Awful tonight. Not interested at all. The sad thing is he's nowhere near alone.
Ronnie Starling
Disappointing again tonight. However for the purpose of variety maybe if we put the ball into forward areas quicker and made him run the channels we might have seen him more involved. 2
Animis
he really struggles - not sure if it's him or the other players; vision, quick/accurate and right paced passing.

I still have faith but our last 2 negative managers don’t seem to hold the key to him. Beginning to turn into one of those players where you think he should be in the team but when he is, you realise why he wasn’t. kristmace
Totally ineffective. Never looked in danger of making an impact on the game. I don't get it at all.
yeadonowl
The scapegoat again Although absolutely zero chances created, Butterfield gives the ball away every time he touches it, Jones just as bad, Boyd offers nothing, Loovens just fouls his man, Joao didn’t touch the ball second half but yes it’s Rhodes fault wasnt one of them that got any credit tonight
TomBee
He's got zero confidence and loses almost every battle. We played a ball up to him and they had a high line, the Rhodes of old would have knocked it on and been through on goal, but instead he headed it back. We really should just cut losses and play Hirst and hope we make back the money on him that we've lost on Rhodes.
gypsyowl
He’s an absolute disgrace of a footballer, didn’t even try tonight, absolutely sick of him, I hope to Jesus he’s not here next season, pathetic excuse for a £10 million footballer, all you that stick up for him need to give your head a wobble, he’s a compete waste of space

I'm not one for slagging any player but he isn't making the runs in behind that have produced lots of goals for him in the past. Maybe its confidence or maybe instruction but there's no point in playing balls into no one! For what its worth Joao was not much better, preferring to play in front of their defence...if this was the game plan, I'm not impressed.

MBMitchell
I've defended him because his dad is a mate and I met him many years ago But I'm sorry, today we didn't create much but all he did was fall over I'm sad but he isn't the way forward.... He just looks really slow, cumbersome and unwieldy. The old Rhodes used to swivel and turn quickly sniffing out a chance, the one we have at the moment turns like an oil tanker. hirstys_achilles
Blaming 1 player for a teams result is wrong. Forwards getting no service because we have not got any creative midfield players. Jos playing 5 at the back (wing backs are not wingers when going forward) as Jos has not got a defence good enough to go to a 4 or proper 3 man defence. Rhodes got booked for tackling. He the same player that scored loads of goals but he needs to get the chances. Players also are not fit enough playing lots of games and training harder than they should at this stage of season to get the fitness required. Legs looked very heavy from the off on every swfc player.
83owl
May as well just stick a wheelie bin upfront. At least the ball may occasionally rebound off the bin and go to one of our players.
roundhayowl
The majorly worrying thing is that he can't actually run. He doesn't get on the end of anything - ok we are talking scraps, but he is a mile off.
