The problem is unfortunately the job and demands were just too big for him and he never fully understood what the majority of fans want to see which is up an and at em style of play. Fans would not have been as critical if we had shown a lot more attacking flair on the pitch and just gone for it every game even if that meant leaving ourselves open and losing games. Its the way we have been drawing snd losing thats been the main issue. DC, go out and get an adventerous style of manager who will get the team back in shape and will be allowed to bring in his own players. This I guarantee you the fans will back. This season - A manager who had lost his way. At his best he was one of the best manager's we've had in the last 20 years. A very likeable guy who maybe survived a little longer than he should have due to that. The statement's today are amicable and respectable, as fans we should be the same. Bluesteel Posted December 24, 2017 Share Posted December 24, 2017 It’s a shame it’s happened this way, on a real low ebb. But there have been doubts for a while and it’s all gone very flat. Even now it’s a sad moment. I think he is a good manager, particularly for an underdog club and I can see him doing well again but the project here had run out of steam and it is necessary.
