Wouldn't want us to spend £6m on a 30 year old with no resale value. If he helped take us up it wouldn't matter but if not he only adds to our current 30+ year olds on big fat contracts.

Unless he's sh it hot and makes the difference! Then who give a damn

Lachman mark2

Another road trip in a mark2 might be worth watching on YouTube.

Why do we worry so much about 'at 30 ,is he worth Xm, and has he any resale value?'

Two points -the first , and most important, it's not a 'huge' amount in this current age. The second - if Mr Chansiri believes  he can afford it, who are we to gainsay him?

I don't get the whole work permit thing, if he isn't a brazil international won't he struggle to get a work permit?

Given that he's never appeared from the Brazil senior team from the look of it, he'd struggle to get one. But he's done 2 years in Poland and 3 each in Germany and the Netherlands, so maybe he was at one of those clubs long enough to qualify for citizenship and therefore can come here as an EU player.

People want to sign Terry. Hes 36... why are we moaning about a 30 year old. Jeez

Be nice to have a player like this, adds abit more presence and leadership.

At 30, you could argue he's at the top of his game.

Whereas proven leadership, like John Terry at 36 and Wes Morgan at 33 are closer to being over the hill.

Huddersfield managed it with Zee Germans, Hefele or whatever his name is was probably the best signing in the champ last season, closely followed by Ward/Mooy...congrats to them

He might well be right this Turkish bloke. However i don't trust that when fees are mentioned that they are correct. It's most likely less.

However you've got to weight up that this chap has played nearly 70 games in Europe in his career and is due to play in next season's Champions league with Besiktas. Doubt he'd want championship football over that.

In team of the year for the Turkish Premier League having played nearly every game this season for the Champions of that league and 10 full European appearances

Why on Earth would he want to drop to the Championship?

I'll trust the multiple websites saying he's going to Lyon over some random twitter account with 2k followers... just can't see how coming to us would be anything other than a backwards move

Joining the MASSIVE can never be a backward move. Look on it as a step forward in an alternative direction.

Achieved all that you say and being chased by Lyon and yet some muppets on here are saying no thanks,

When are people going to realise that the club doesn't care about resale value or they would have shipped out our little striker for a £6million pound profit last season

If he cost £6million and plays for 4 years and 3 are in the prem or even 1year  it will be peanuts to the club

Never seen him play but appears to have a good track record at decent level, 6ft 3, scores a few goals, good experience. Why not
