John Terry

Its not about it being my money or the clubs, or whatever, its simple business. If your top earners are on say 35-40k a week, and someone comes in on 60k a week, it will clearly cause issues. Hence why I wouldnt want him for 60k a week, it aint rocket science mate

Forget John Terry for a minute and analyse the general context of your point.

If the club were to get promoted to the Premier League, every single player would be in line for very significant pay rises and bonuses. If a player is available as experienced and accomplished as Terry, even if they were to demand 60K/week + add-ons, would they necessarily be against it? Clearly, a player of that ilk would greatly enhance the club's chances of promotion and that would be a win-win situation for everyone at the club. The worst case scenario is such a player goes to another club and helps them to promotion at your club's expense.

Football is not like any other business.

Nasty individual but a born leader and winner. Hate to admit he could be just the  missing piece we need.

Just remember the impact Mick Lyons had. Terry could do exactly the same for us.

He's a bit of a c un t. But he's been a good leader (most of the time), dangerous at set pieces, and will cope with most Championship strikers.  Sometimes you need a tail in the team,  look at Nigel Pearson.

He won't be a Darren Purse for whoever signs him.

He might end up a Bournemouth or Brighton.  Replacement for Dunk if he goes to Everton

Good player... but past it now... can't do 46+ games in this league... and if Villa (or whoever) signs him it's a major expensive gamble!

Surely he woulld have a significant value without playing 46 games...personally i think he is a c34t, however you have to look beyond his personality and i genuinely think his experience is something we dont have at the club currently...he is a winner

I Just can't see a London born and bred multi millionaire  wanting to spend any amount of time or have any commitment for a club 'up north', La galaxy adventure for a year certainly, Villa at a push maybe but Hillsborough no.

Absolutely useless on the pitch, has been for a while now.  Cahill lost years off his career playing two positions covering for Terry.

if I were a Villa fan, I'd be disgusted.  A publicity signing, not one roger given to actual team building.
