It is a prestigious game. But you have to play other games to get there. If, for (an extreme) example, a player plays all the way to the final, picks up an injury, can't play in the final, and replaced by someone who hasn't been involved in the other games. You're saying the guy that plays 1 game is more deserving of a medal than the one that helped the team get there by playing all the other games? It's a tournament, not a one off game. Yes you have to win the final, but you have to get there first. Edited June 25, 2017 by Donny.Owl
Pulcinella
Why are we discussing whether John Terry deserves at Champions League winner's medal when he's not a Wednesday player and most unlikely to ever become one?

Well maybe we should stick it in the "conversation/debate but nowt to do wi' Wednesday section". Or maybe be should give the absolute gentleman that is John Terry a section of his own on OT so we all celebrate his services to man. Or maybe we can just agree that the man is an absolute tail and we should move on.

Spencerowl
Villa tho... will literally sign anyone now out of desperation. WalthamOwl
Wonder just how much Villa are paying Terry. Will go 1 of 2 ways I reckon. Either he will really pull the team together and get them fighting to the death or the more likely option will be he goes in there thinking he is billy big balls, players turn against him and he leaves by Christmas to go to America or China. No doubt Mad Dr Xia's offered Terry free, unrestricted access to his wife and daughter as part of the deal.
