This player, who Gazetto della Sport say is a cross between Pogba and Traore, would have turned that close game for us yesterday.

He cost less than Abdi.

Ditto Bridcutt.

We just don't have the physical prowess, either in midfield or central defence to get out of this division.

£8 million in Jan may get him as Udinese sometimes sell quick for a buck (unless they send him to sister club Watford).

Just watched a replay of last night's Udinese v Joe Hart's expensive Torino team and Fofana was brilliant again.

Not only is he big but breaks up play in midfield and can score and distribute really well (think Souness ).

Exactly what we needed and went for £2.90 million this Summer, from City.

That's less than Abdi who also earns around £20 k per week more

And if we want a big target man upfront who can also play and score, Zapata brilliant to last night, scored one.

Someone please tell Dodgy Doyen for January.

You know if you have an agenda (which you clearly do, seeing as earlier today you bumped Doyen thread), then there are more subtle ways of going about things.

It's also pretty stupid accusing a company of being dodgy without any substance or proof.

How many times do I have to say this?
How do you know he we didn't approach him and he said he had no interest joining a Championship club? Is it so hard for you to conceive in your brain the tiniest of possibilities that there are players out there who have no interest in playing for Sheffield Wednesday?

You can't make players join us if they have no interest

This would ruin his agenda about "Dodgy Doyen"

see, your argument for me about this type of player is actually half decent until you describe a scouting agency as 'dodgy', then I can see why other posters turn on the point so quick. Pretty much every club pays agents (not that I agree with it).

I agree about us being too soft in midfield and we often get bullied , but your obsession with Doyen is becoming boring mate .

I find this thread interesting in a way. Who have we signed from a foreign team lately who's any good?

Many clubs take gambles on unproven foreign players and they dont work out,

This guy was at Man City until July, yes 5 mins from Middlewood, and Fulham on loan last season so under our noses.

Then Dodgy Doyen missed him and he went to Udinese instead of us (where they also have close ties and sister club, Watford ).

Of course, agents have a job to do but this mob are also OUR retained agents for recruitment on £500 , 000 per year (see Footleaks for contract).

They are also agents for Carlos , Joao and Matias and in related thread it's said they used to own these 2 players , via Third Party Ownership (or slavery or TPO).

Hence, Dodgy Doyen and if you look on their website they have now come up with TPI to get around TPO (now supposed to be banned, but prevalent according to Allardyce).

But Fofan's not the real point. If we can see we need a nutter in midfield, why didn't Dodgy get us one (instead of £3 million Abdi - see above,  Geddit? - on around £25 k per week).

And when we get bored of winning , that's when to stop asking legit questions.
