Once again our section of fickle fans raise their head above the parapet. Not 2 months in and you're complaining. Can't you remember the state this club was in only a few short years ago. GO AND JOIN THE GLORY CHASERS WHY DON'T YOU

Thats bollards.

If anyone who has seen our performances and team selections so far this season thinks that everything in the garden is rosy, then I want a go on whatever they're smoking.

ive seen 6 of the games and the only poor performance was against leeds (didnt go burton) .....seen 3 cracking games villa ,brentford ,last night ......a good proffesional job at norwich ....i'm fairly confident that we'll get even better once the new  blokes bed in .

Always makes me laugh when people on here say "Carlos doesn't know his best team" and "Carlos should play the best team & stick with it"!

Then on an open forum on here people are totally unable to agree on a line up, throw their two penneth in and come up with 50 different permutations of what they think the starting side should be, yet they all expect Carlos to come up with an instant winning formula and settled side.

There seems to be the usual Moronic tendency on here, who consistently seem to enjoy embarrassing themselves, but slightly more disturbingly, there seems to be a 'second tier' that are seemingly just waiting to pounce and jump on the bandwagon when things are not totally going to plan.  " Yeah the OP was a bit over the top BUT --   ---  ---"  (Insert any generic bog standard moan as to why CC is incapable of managing).

They tentatively stick their heads above the parapet for a quick hatchet job on CC when things don't look so rosy, and when they are made to look rather stupid, quickly withdraw their previous point of view, maybe try & qualify what they said and then lie low and wait for their next opportunity.

Maybe a period of complete f****n silence from the moronic tendency might be in order, until we are in the inevitable relegation dogfight  that these geniuses predict under CC and then maybe they can have their day.

My view on this that our tactics of sideways and backward passing gives defenses time to organize their defence.   We do not get the ball forward quick enough and this may explain why Westwood tries to get it moving quicker by kicking th ball up to he penalty areas when we have no forwards up there.  The tactics are boring, frustrating and ineffective.  In the first half against Bristol City we had just one shot on goal.  Bristol City's  Defence esily coped with us as will any well organized team.   No wonder there were boos at half time!!!  Second half last night showed just what a threat we have when we attack teams.   Getting forward at pace with support and the ball played out wide to get behind Defences will prove effective and entertain the fans.

Love the idea that Carlos has "Bought himself time".

Gary Monk has "Bought himself time".

Carlos is currently trying to accommodate a host of new players and quite clearly looking at different permutations and formations to see what piece of the jigsaw fits where.

I don't disagree regarding the 'Tempo', but that comes from a certain way of playing that comes from certain personnel.  Gain more Tempo but potentially lose other positive aspects of our game. All part of the 'balance' that only comes with time when any club has brought in a number of new players.

This idea that there is one line up or one formation that is the default correct line up, just shows what we are dealing with on here!

Man City in their first year spent fortunes and had to go through the same process albeit in a much bigger way.

Clearly the CC detractors, don't like him, don't want him here, never did, and are always on the look out for any excuse to have a pop & prove they were right.

Fortunately the majority of Wednesdayites, most of whom have never set foot on this site can see the bigger picture and in the main, are loving it, even though it is a bit roller coaster at the moment.

Thats quite a generous analysis of the season so far.

However, the Leeds and Burton games must also be included.

We've made some promising signings over the summer, but what worries me isn't the strength of the squad (aside from centre backs), but the strange impression which Carlos is giving that he doesn't yet know the best positions for some of the squad, or for that matter how to put together a first team tactically with the strength in depth he now has.

Reality:

We are currently only 5 points behind the leaders with 39 games to go

We have won the last 2 games and we haven't actually played terribly except for the Burton match.

Issues Faced and dealt with:

We have had to deal with what happened to Forresteri.

We had to get Hutch used to playing as a CB after Loovens was out for a long time.

We have new players to integrate into the squad.

People need to remember Carlos got us to an extremely unexpected Play-off final last season.

In addition to this we have actually started better than we did last season and things are starting to work now for the squad.

Cut the guy some slack for christ sake we are 9th, ok so this isn't the DREAM start to our season but its not a tragedy.

Now calm down, take a breath and get back to singing in stands, backing our boys and giving the team the push they need.

We don't need negativity, negativity breeds failure. Think positiviely and believe that we will take that promotion slot this time and we will get promoted.

WE have a squad that is better than last season. We have cover in nearly every position. We have a coach who works hard to understand the opposites. We have a coach who changes things during the 90 mins, irrespective of how long we've been playing. The squad know what is needed when things are changed. We have a long season in a really tough league. We have clubs down from the Premiership who have HUGE amounts of cash. We have clubs that have changed their squads during the close season so are a different 'opposite' to play against.

Some folk need to worry about more important things...

I'll bring the salt ...and a bottle of vinegar.
