Earlsfieldowl
We currently have the best side since our relegation in 2000. Our League position is proof of this. But would these two get the current team? A few decent players have come and gone since then, along with an awful lot of mediocrity.... Aside from Sibon, Walker etc who were stragglers from the Prem, would any other non Prem players since 2000 get in?

nevthelodgemoorowl
It would be folly in the extreme to take backward steps, which they would be were we to get promotion.
HirstWhoScoredIt
Bougherra, brunt and Whelan would definitely get in.
Mr. Chow
Madjid bougherra next to lees Antonio on the right Chris lines next to bannan Chris lines has got to be one of the worst centre midfielders I have ever seen in a Wednesday shirt. Him and potter along side each other in my Wednesday worst
Inspector Lestrade
Bougherra, brunt and Whelan would definitely get in. They might well do but it would only be for one game

Salmonbones
This is not nostalgia talking, i genuinely believe both would be first on the team sheet. Actually, why is it so hard to believe? They have both done it at the top level. Bougherra at his peak was also better than we have now - what I called at the time a modern "Paul Warhurst" - a centre back able to break forward at ease. Wednesday_Jack
Whelan was a class act!! Brunt was quality but he was prone to the odd disappearing act but I suppose he came up with equal match winning performances
