Bez
10 mins down the road to my house, nice to be home! Westwood - 6 - Not much to do but didn't command his area at times. Palmer - 4 - Poor imho. Never picks a pass and suspect at the back. Lees - 7 - Wins headers, puts challenges in and always looks assured but poor long balls. Loovens - 5 - At fault for their first goal by not winning the header and poor distribution. Pudil - 6 - Targeted in the air but was ok when defending. Sougou - 5 - Scored but did little else and doesn't track back very well. Lee - 6 - Looked poor in the first half but better in the second. They closed him down well. Semedo - 3 - Very poor, mistiming headers and giving the ball away. Ouch. Helan - 5 - Offered little and had no chance to use his pace. Fessi - 7 - Always causes trouble for the other team but quiet in the first half. A good second half. Nuhiu - 5 - Very ineffective but they targeted him and fouled him (which the ref didn't see). SUBS: Joao - 7 - Made a difference. He didn't actually mean his goal, he messed up the header but they all count. Hooper - 7 - Put himself about, all over the place. Wanted to impress and nearly scored. Wallace - 6 - I prefer him on the pitch to Sougou and showed flashes. When a new manager comes in, like at Blackburn, they usually focus on workrate and set pieces which was clearly the case as that is all they offered. We grew into the game and given 20 more minutes I think we would have won... Saying that, the first half was so poor and no one wanted the ball to feet. Putting 2 up front entirely changed the game in our favour.
sweetsheri
Agree with that, woeful first half, much the better team in 2nd. Ref had a shocker, some of his decisions were a joke. Get hutch and bannon back and sack nuhui off and we will win those kind of games

Bez
Nuhiu wants dropping Not his fault - their gameplan was to force us to go long and then neutralise Nuhiu. He was pushed, pulled and fouled all the time but this only works for us if the ref gives him free kicks which didn't happen. The more the ref let them get away with, the more they fouled him. Despite this, he created a goal with a header and grew into the game. When he is marked out of the game, we need to capitalise by dominating midfield and 2nd balls but we lacked urgency. Adem Poric
Nuhiu wasn't good but he got nothing from the ref. Didn't matter if he was pushed to the ground by two men. Worst player on the pitch though, I'm genuinely sorry to say, was Semedo. He offered nothing today. Nobody wants to give him the ball because he's not comfortable with it. He barely won a challenge too. First half was awful, second half with movement going forward was much better. We can't defend set plays though. All their chances were from either corners or free kicks around the box.
NeonLeon
Surprised Helan and Semedo survived after last week. Clearly we're short in midfield and that's forcing them into the 11. Hopefully in January we can add some more energy and consistency to the depth in midfield.
Beholder
ovember 2015 - 05:39 PM Westwood - 6 - No issues with Westwood today. He was playing as sweeper a lot though.. Palmer - 6 - Decent performance. Strong. Actually prefer him to Hunt. . Lees - 7 - Typically strong, assured performance. Loovens - 6 - Steady. Pudil - 6 - Always a willing option. Sougou - 6 - Thought he played ok but we didn't get the ball down the channels at all so didn't make use of his pace. Lee - 6 - Usual committed performance . Gets stuck in. Semedo - 2- Why does he get picked? Why didn't he get subbed? Completely beyond me. He is/ was awful. Helan - 6 - Same as Sougou. He offers an out ball but not much else. Fessi - 7 - Anonymous fast half. Came alive 20 minutes before the end. Nuhiu - 4 - Poor and refs don't like him either. SUBS: Joao - 7 - Quality player. Needs to be in a team that retains possession and plays it on the deck though.. Hooper - 5 - Hardly noticed him apart from the miss. Wallace - 6 - Has the quality and brain that sogou lacks, if not the pace. REF 2: Blew every time a Blackburn went to the floor, anywhere on the pitch for whatever reason. But not the other way round. Edited November 28, 2015 by Beholder
Guest
Westwood 6 Palmer 5 Lees 6 Loovens 5 Pudil 5 Helen 4 Semedo 3 Lee 6 Sougou 6 Forestieri 7 Nuhiu 3 Joao 7.5 Hooper 6 Wallace 5 Looks like we did well to score 2 goals and get a point against a side with a decent home record and have been lifted by the arrival of a new manager. Generally 5 is classed as a very poor performance so to get a point when 7 players have been very poor or worse and only two have been a solid 7 or slightly better deserves some credit! Said in commentary today that if he has two men on him why don't we use somebody else to give the ball too thereby taking two defenders out. Bit of a decoy move
bradowl
As much as Nuhiu played bad in first half he spent most of time feeding on scraps because most of team weren't at it. Palmer would get my vote for man of match if he could cross ball better, made some great runs in second but most of crosses didn't even get past first defender. Earlsfieldowl
I just pray CC doesn't start with today's starting lineup against Stoke. The game will be over by half time and I doubt we will get back in it at this level. Really key CC gets this right from the off. Southie_Owl
Pretty sure he'll play the best team against Stoke and go for it. Hutchinson, Bannan, Wallace and Joao will start 👠

clud17
We definitely missed Hutchinson and Bannan This was the problem in the first half not Nuhiu. Our midfield were struggling to take any control of the game giving the ball away far too often. Thankfully we are pulling points out of a bag when we are playing badly which have been useful in maintaining our position.
