Charlton vs The Owls. Official Matchday Thread.

Recommended Posts

Don't worry about it, lots of effort in last few weeks. Always gonna get caught a bit leggy, shame it came today but it was always going to happen at some stage.

Wednesday have progressed beyond recognition these last few weeks. The next fortnight will see our return fitter faster and better.

No need for any scapegoats, move on !

Back down to earth but you can't take anything for granted at this level.

On their day anyone down the bottom can surprise any of the top teams in this League.

A disappointing game, a missed chance to close the gap on the top 6 but let's be realistic

we're bound to have many more up's and down's in this competetitive League. It will be interesting

now to see how we manage to bounce back. The Championship is a long old slog of a division and many other

sides in the top half will drop points occasionally against the bottom sides. Hats off to Charlton under difficult circumstances

for them they bossed the majority of the game and pressed us and broke on us, like we've been doing to other sides lately.

We have to dust ourselves down, regroup, utilise our squad and get back to doing the things we were doing right during our impressive run

and bounce back as soon as possible after the international break. The break could be a good or bad thing, cos we don't want to dwell on one defeat and poor performance

for too long after the run we were on, another game in a quicker timespan might've been a good thing. But these are the things you have to deal with in this League

and I'm sure we'll be sharper and raring to go again after the international break. It's disappointing but not the end of the world, we're still doing a lot better than I thought we would at the start of the season to be honest.

True. But if it's just because we're tired we should've freshened the team up more before the game. We wanted to play on the counter but didn't have much pace and that football takes energy

If you're gonna lose 3-1, the best time to do it is before the international break.

CC got two weeks to kick their arses back into gear.

Two weeks to get Hooper up to speed.

Two weeks to glue Loovens, Turner, Matias, Lopez and Sougou back together.

Maybe. But as a fan it is the worst time to lose. Have that horrible fortnight wanting to get back on track.

If I had one criticism og Carlos he made too much during the week of the team needing the international break and the players were tired. Stuff like that gets into players heads. as for Charlton it sounded like they bypassed our midfield. Hooper Jaoa and Forestieri hardly got a mention first half
