The "money" from HM to MM to buy the club will probably be held by a 3rd party in an escrow account waiting for conditions to be met. In our case the condition will be the "Fit & Proper" ratification by the Football League. Once the league ratifies HM as fit & proper the 3rd party will transfer the money from the escrow account to MM. I'm not familiar with the legalities of these things but its possible that the only way HM can pull out & get his money back from the escrow account is if the league refuse to ratify HM as fit & proper. Hence why we can't make any signings at the moment because no money has officially changed hands yet & the club doesn't have a pot to wee wee in. TrickyTrev Posted July 2, 2014 Share Posted July 2, 2014 The continous delays with regards to ratification and FINALLY being able to sign players is way past a few people over-reacting and "panicking" as others on here have said and is really starting to become a joke now. Stuart Gray said he wanted all of his new signings in by the start of pre season and we've not even signed our out of contract players yet who are obviously trying to get themselves a nice little pay rise after the takeover is concluded. Mandaric tells us the delays with ratification won't delay us signing players, Gray tells us it is and we all know that come August and another poor start to the season this'll be the first excuse they reel out.
