Stoop
Palmer hasn't put a foot wrong recently Weirdly Westwood seems to be dropping a few b******s which are costing us Mainly unlucky today tbh The main concern was that we didn't make them pay for the first half hour when we were dominant

As for Westwood, come on???? 1 Bad mistake and he's not good enough?? Best keeper in championship for me!! Bit of a silly op !!! What about if its 2 bad mistakes in the last 2 away games? robster_owl
The ball down field from Brum, should have been cleared by Loovens and it likely wouldn't have even got to Westwood being called upon. Of course, his decision making in that one instance was poor but it's a fine line as a Goalie. Anyway, it was only "Beermingham"
Beauchief Owl
Westwood has cost us points at Brentford and made a serious error of judgement today that probably cost us the match. However, he was the only one to have come out of the play-off final with his reputation intact and he has been very reliable over the past couple of seasons. Very harsh indeed to be calling for his head.

Do you get to see a number of games over there as you don't have to worry about UK TV sport laws.
Captain Sl-OWL-ly
TBF so far Westwood doesn't seem to be the player he was last season, be that loss of confidence or just believing he's irreplaceable I don't know, that said, talk of getting rid (unless he wants to go) is a bit premature IMHO but giving him a rest for a couple of games or so might not be a bad thing, our up and coming "home grown" might also benefit... #Wildthing... scram
Thought Palmer was solid today Maybe should have covered off the player who scored the winner (the ball was lofted and in the air long enough) - but he was a minor part of that f*ck up - and he could legitimately argue he was holding the defensive line - but because of the way the ball was being set up by Birmingham it might be tough to convince the jury that was the right decision But a decent game from him all in all Westwood had headloss for the first goal but blameless for the winner

rob1601
Westwood lost his head by chasing things because he had had so little to do during the game. Palmer did ok as he has so far this season. We were unlucky to lose today.

TAOWL267
Compared to what? Hunts been poor all year and Westwood is the best keeper in the Championship.

daftpenguin
I honestly think people are singling Palmer out for blame simply because they're used to being able to do so. I saw some clown on Twitter doing his 'ratings' giving Westwood a 6 and Palmer a 5 despite the latter ostensibly being to blame for the first and arguably the second goal to some degree. Palmer did well, absolutely unjustified for people to be saying 'not good enough' about a player who is improving. As for Westwood, simple fact is that if his distribution was top notch he'd no longer be at Hillsborough and may never have arrived in the first place. I'm not saying we should simply tolerate players with weaknesses but at this level, Westwood is better than pretty much anyone else in the league nine times out of ten. He's had a couple of shockers this season so far but it would be moronic to have some sort of knee-jerk reaction and attempt to replace him, as there's every chance that could go completely boobies up. gurujuan
Palmer was one of our better players tonight, Westwood, maybe not, but he deserves a bit of grace
LiamK2292
Palmer played well again and picked himself up after being dropped in midweek. Westy had a shocker with the penalty, no need to do what he did.
Holmowl
If you asked a neutral which of today's full backs cost 5mil, he would struggle. Palmer was very good today, but he is an easy target when we lose.
Bluesteel
Westwood has had a couple of bad moments. But probably for the first time in his career here.
james o connor
It's not allowed to be said on owls talk but Westwood has been gash this season so has lees ..... Both need to book their ideas up . It's easy to blame the favourite boo boys hunt, Palmer , hooper ..... The fact of the matter is our defence has been poor and the biggest area of concern
