SDS Owl
Watches a match on TV. Hears a song from the stands. Recognises the tune. Storms off to social media to complain that’s “our song”. Football fans are a wired breed sometimes. 2

I’m reluctant to provoke that notorious temper of yours FG, but Plymouth were singing that for Bali Mumba a year before Gassama signed for us. The plagiarists though, have nicked the bounce song from us, so it’s 1-1.
JohnnyQuinnsQuiff
Surely it was Liverpool fans who were singing this? What idiots would sing a ‘Blues song’ after winning?

I know mate, I was trying to be sarcastic and failed miserably. After a season of listening to away fans singing it though I can't help but bounce my shoulders to it when they do. thewookieisdown
I watched Everton win an evening game at Upton Park many many years ago, certainly the last century, and it was sung then. It's a lovely notion that other clubs' fans are alive to what the supporters of a championship - league one yoyo club sing and copy it, but I suspect not wholly true. Mind you, I’ve become reluctant to use the irony word ever since Alanis Morissette was pilloried for her misuse of it multiple times in her famous song .
