The strange case of Sylla Sow

Recommended Posts

I'd like to see more of him to make my mind up. What I have seen suggests he could be an asset with a few games under his belt. May not get a look in now if Gregory stays fit and Windass comes back. I'd play 2 out of Gregory, Kamberi and Windass in every game.

Shodipo has had more game time and he looks lost so far.

Just seen we've signed Mendez-Laing.

Another winger.

Perhaps Sows on his way out. ..

We simply can't house all these wingers.

We need all our wingers as defensive cover at CB obv.

Just now, Tewkesbury said:

We should give him 90 minutes at CF with Kamberi before the other 2 are fully fit.

Bringing Kamberi and Theo back from the Shadow Realm worked, why not try him?

Could be the winning strike pairing right under our noses.

I suspect we'll never know.

What's the crack with this cove?

I've seen so little of him I couldn't recall if he was a loan or permanent.

A quick check says we signed him permanently from RKC Waalwijk.

So far it's been 5 minutes here and there apart from the Mickey Mouse Cup starts. ( Two games, 1 goal) and a half at Plymouth - where everyone played badly.

Apparently he's a winger. Though I thought he looked ok as a striker, admittedly against Harrogate.

25 years old

6 feet.

Looks quite quick.

Plays off both feet.

Likes to get a shot off when I've seen him.

Belongs to us.

Is he terrible in training or something?

I'm not suggesting the chap is going to be a World beater. He wouldn't be playing for us if he was. But I do admit to finding it slightly surprising he hasn't had much of a look in while Gregory and Windass have been out.

Not seen any evidence so far to suggest he's any less effective than Berahino has been.

Would he have put away the couple of chances Paterson had on Saturday?

I do wonder.

Very odd signing if he's not going to be used.

:Chansiri: + some Paxo into the mix

He's looked every bit as productive as Shodipo in my opinion. We've got an abundance of wingers/wide Midfielders yet we don't play with them. I don't get it.

Shodipo doesn't look as if he has a goal in him...Sow does that's the difference

I’ve always said the lack of opportunity he’s been given suggests he’s maybe not someone Moore wanted & came from this mysterious “transfer committee” we have set up.

With the options we have available I would hope move him on swiftly.

Maybe Moore can't spell 'Sow' on the team sheet

Just an opinion, but don't think he has settled in. From club social media snippets always seems to be on his own, doesn't seem to be part of the team, which also translates and more an individual on the pitch.

Yes, did well against lower league opposition, but not getting over anxious about him not being in the league team. I'm sure he has good attributes, but just wonder whether the move is right for him.

I maybe wide of the mark, just my intepretation of a lad who seems to be a bit of a loner, on and off the pitch.
