Hating the one up top or the two wide attackers gregory has been far too isolated

now maybe because of our style of play or formation but I’ve not seen enough of the wide players yet so I’m going for a 3-5-2

we can use our abundance of attacking players later on in the game to change it if needs be

3 at the back worked so well on Saturday, just as it did throughout last season!

One up top/wide attackers might work if we actually played wide attackers and a midfield with a proper holding midfielder.

So basically DM is setting the team up not to lose, instead of setting the team up to win games. Players are reluctant to push forward and support the loan striker so instead he get isolated.

The fact we are only averaging 3 shots on target for the last 7 games (6 were against Ipswich), means if the other team score we very rarely win the game.

5 from 6 games this season we have failed to win when the other team scored, the only exception is Wigan and we were 2-0 up when we conceded.

On your last sentence it would have been 6 from 6 games if we weren't very lucky with the OG Wigan scored at 0-0.

                        BPF

             Iorfa   Dunks    Palmer

Theo    Adeniran    Luongo  Johnson/Brown

                        Wing

            Berahino  Paterson/Windass

I'd like to see us play something like that, 3 at the back with a DCM paired with engine of Adiniran. Wing in behind two strikers and try and get it out wide as often as possible.

Bpf

Hunt iorfa hutch brown

             Luongo (palmer till fit)

 Adeniran     bannan

               Pato

        Theo    windass (gregory till fit)

442 diamond, should be mainly attacking this league so pace up front and a presence in pato, could always have palmer anchoring with theo on bench in a 4132 for certain games

Just play this team.

Sometimes Paterson for Berahino. Sub others in for injury or loss of form.

Stop dicking around worrying about what other teams have.

They're all facing us, so BPF is our loan striker, and Gregory in goal, we could try  that it might work out

Out of all the players we have fit or injured, seriously who are our best 11 who should be playing week in week out?

I haven't really seen some of them, so can't comment

Hunt Iorfa Hutchinson Brown

My only preference would be Palmer instead of Hunt and Johnson for his crossing ,  Brown just getting edged out

Yet to see Windass play this season for obvious reasons and when he’s back and fit I’d like to think he’d be rotated in the front two based on form. Same goes with Luongo in midfield as well. Give this setup a run of games to build up partnerships and some understanding, played in their natural positions and having an attacking, pressing minded approach is what I want to see.

That looks like a strong team, do you think there is room for Kamberi? I rate him

Some great views in this thread, always gets the brain thinking.

If my house depended on it, I’d go;

Wildsmith

Palmer

Iorfa

Hutch

Brown

Luongo

Bannan

Adeniran

Windass

Gregory

Shodipo

I’ve become a real fan of Paterson lately and think I’ve labelled him all wrong, tough to leave him out.
