How do you get to doing alright?   No attack threat, giving the ball away cheaply, requiring two good saves from the keeper.

Scoreline is still 0-0, which means we still have a chance.

Expecting the team to be firing on all cylinders right now is a bit premature.

Although it wouldn’t bother me if we went out in this cup, a win to boost confidence and get that winning feeling back in the squad would be good.

0-0 so far against a side from a higher division isn’t a disaster.

You've also got to take into account the turnover of players and that five are making their debuts. They've got to be given time to sort out a coherent pattern of play.

Agreed, to expect this side to hit the ground running and be taking the game to a side from a higher division was always a bit of a stretch.

We are still in the game and there will be more to come from this side. Also we won’t come up against many sides as good as Huddersfield in the league this season.

After reading some of the posts on this game you would think we had been playing like last season.

So pleeeease slow down guys as it’s the first game they have played together, so they need to gel, even though Paterson is up front.

Our two recognised strikers are not available as yet and this is a Cup game that for us is a warm up for our League campaign so let’s not get carried away.

We will get better so keep the faith 😉

Very true. It would have been nice to have most of this group playing together for most of pre-season, but the nature of the beast has meant that a lot of these players have only been bought in and had at most 1/2 friendlies to play together.

It'll take a few games for everyone to be singing from the same hymn sheet.

Looking pretty good if you can look outside of the box.

1)Got a keeper who actually saves shots and keeps clean sheets. What a novelty.

2)Got a defence that keeps clean sheets

3)Got a midfield that keeps clean sheets at one end, and creates chances at the other end

4)Just need a striker now

5)Just signed a striker.

Just proved we’re going up.

lol
