Agreed, to expect this side to hit the ground running and be taking the game to a side from a higher division was always a bit of a stretch. We are still in the game and there will be more to come from this side. Also we won’t come up against many sides as good as Huddersfield in the league this season. So pleeeease slow down guys as it’s the first game they have played together, so they need to gel, even though Paterson is up front. Our two recognised strikers are not available as yet and this is a Cup game that for us is a warm up for our League campaign so let’s not get carried away. It would have been nice to have most of this group playing together for most of pre-season, but the nature of the beast has meant that a lot of these players have only been bought in and had at most 1/2 friendlies to play together.
