Jose Morais - Talksport

I'll start by saying that Chansiri clearly doesn't have a clue and neither do his advisors either.

I also know next to nothing about Jose Morais. But that isn't all bad. Let me explain:

With Pulis we knew what we were getting - a bad manager, who plays bad football and who last did a decent job at a club in 2014. In other words, we were getting relegation. We might, might, have scored two goals in a game by May, if we got a lucky break in one game and one of Westwood's clearances got caught up in the wind or Pelupessy shanked a cross in-off the bar.

At least on the face of it, Jose Morais has a better pedigree in the game. Assistant manager under one of the best managers of the modern era, and who wanted to work with him at three clubs. Recently won two titles with Jeonbuk - okay, Jeonbuk usually win the Korean league, but it is still evidence of being able to coach a team, in a decent-ish league, that can win matches. On the negative side, he never seems to last anywhere long, and wasn't successful in keeping Barnsley up (they were 22nd when he arrived, and finished in 22nd). So basically he is another Carlos. Decent coach, not a genius or a miracle worker.

We have an unbalanced squad, but still with enough lower-to-midtable standard players to win a few games. Maybe he can do that.

A stopped clock is still right twice a day, and this appointment might be enough to save us from the relegation that Pulis was in the process of masterminding.

'Knowledge of the league' must be the most overrated argument in football. Pulis's knowledge of the Championship was a real asset, wasn't it? Just like Monk's.

I'm more interested with knowledge of football and coaching ability than knowledge of this league.

Look at the league table all top 7 teams in this league have a manager that had never managed in this league before taking over their clubs. Ditto Bielsa.

He may be shít. But if he's worked under Mourinho at Real Madrid and Inter Milan the chances are he's better than Pulis. Even this guy 'failing abysmally' at Barnsley was picking up more point per game than experienced Tony Pulis at Wednesday

I agree. I don't really care who we get anymore, it's either a foreign man like Morais (carlos Mk II, which I would take now) or a lower league type like Cowley. We went safe with pulis with his experience ect. and it wasn't working, so I'll rather go with the wild card route. Let's maybe have some fun if we are going down. The formations he uses look like 4-1-4-1, 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3, varied 3 at the back types, 4-5-1 and 4-4-2. It's not much, but let's compare his first 10 games at Barnsley (17/18 Season) with pulis's with us.

Morais: Won 2, Drew 3, Lost 5, Points 9 out of 30, Goals Scored 12, Goals Conceded 15, Goal Difference -3, Biggest Win 0-2 against Birmingham/3-2 against Sheffield United, Biggest Draw 2-2 against Bristol City (at Home), Biggest Loss 3-1 against Middlesbrough.

Pulis: Won 1, Drew 4, Lost 5, Points 7 out of 30, Goals Scored 6, Goals Conceded 12, Goal Difference -6, Biggest Win 1-0 against Coventry, Biggest Draw 1-1 against Swansea (Away), Reading (Home) and Blackburn (Away), Biggest Loss 2-0 against Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield.

Obviously I’m loving watching your club get worse and worse. I hope you end up in a worse state then Bradford, and I’ll never feel sorry for Wensdeh fans. But what this clowns doing to your club is absolutely ridiculous, it’s like he woke up one morning and thought what’s the best way to get rid of every penny I’ve got. And he decided buying a dying football club with a crumbling stadium was the way to go, but not content with that, he also thought it would be a good idea to employ rubbish old men and pay them way over the odds. It can’t have been anything other than that. So in that case he’s doing a cracking job unfortunately for you lot.

And here I was not having no problems with Barnsley haha. I wouldn't wish this and what you said on Barnsley though. Dying club when he bought it? No, crumbling stadium? Kinda. Also rubbish old men? Only pulis haha.

If this turns out to be genuine, I want to know who has put this guys name forward and I want to see them strung up by the testicles........literally, nobody in their right mind looks at that guys CV and thinks, he's my man.........with the sole exception of DC's advisor.

Can you imagine how much training kit this lad has accumulated over the years from his various jobs.

Be like SportsDirect in his garage. Standing joke at the dads and lads Thursday night 5-a-side to see if he turns up in the Barnsley cagoul or Benfica B training top.

At first I thought you were talking about:pulis:with all the stuff he has on haha.

Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea! Who do you want to see on his CV - Stoke, Gillingham and Pompey?

Yes. Selling pies. He wasn’t the manager. He was putting cones out.

And a good morning to you Dingle.

One hopes whilst laughing so hard you sprain your ankle by slippling on some ferret shiit on route to the newsagents to buy your weekly edition of " How to get closer to your sister despite having no teeth and yellow fingers"

I don't care how bad it gets because I'll never have six fingers on the same hand and my wife will never be my sister......

If one of the greatest managers in the history of football chooses him at 4 different clubs to be his assistant coach, he must know a thing or two about coaching.

Judging by the shambles the last 10 games have been we could desperately do with a coach who knows something about football. He may be utterly, utterly shít. But if he is, then utterly, utterly shít would be an improvement on those last 10 matches.

Honestly....id rather this guy than Pulis.

He may fluke a performance out of this squad and get us enough points to stay up.

Pulis was never going to do that with his negative crap. It was clear to see.

At least we may actually play 2 strikers and try to attack.

More managers in a season than the pigs have points and now the possibility of a manager going around the dressing room on all fours pretending to be a cat !!

Only positive is that he'll have to be appointed by Thursday as we'll be fully out of Europe on Friday and he'll need a work permit or similar to get a job.
