Surely no one can look at his record, especially at Barnsley and think yeah he’s the man for the job, he will keep us up.

His record is no worse than most of the usual British no-marks on the betting markets.

Two league titles and a cup in the last two seasons in a league that is probably at a standard somewhere that's a mix of the lower end of the Championship and the top half of league one. Before that assistant manager to Mourinho when he won La Liga and a treble at Inter?

It's a better record than Pulis. Even accounting for the 15 games at Barnsley. They were already in the relegation zone when he took over, so it's not like he made them worse, he just couldn't make them better quickly enough.

"Never been relegated" because he's usually such a shít show that he's sacked in December. Just like at West Brom. He was always destined to 'never be relegated' here, would have carried on picking up 0.7 points per game and walked in March.

Don’t get me wrong, my post wasn’t in defence of Pulis, more a highlight of further DC madness.

Barnsley fans are all Billy big testicles at the moment with their form.

Do seem to have appointed well though this time.

We’ve picked up 59 points in 41 games this year with Rotherham to play tonight. We’ve been in the sort of form that gets you in the playoff picture though-out 2020, so I’d say we got our last two appointments right. And the one before that got us promoted, so the last three have been decent.

Not disagreeing, you have rights to brag.

It doesn't really matter who the manager is, if they have a squad without players in certain positions they are going to struggle.

Unless we sort out the problem at the top we will keep getting worse.

The only requirement we have in respect of a new manager ius that he doesn't rock the boat.
