We have a bigger problem

Recommended Posts

Most of the side is out of contract in the summer

The youngsters coming through just aren't ready

Pulis has publically said that three players have been offered new contracts (what message does that send out to the other ones out of contract?)

Now... ordinarily you'd say GOOD - SOD EM ALL

But we NEED them right now to play well for us - at the very least till January

Here's the bigger problem for me though..

Tonight it looked extremely clear that not a single one of the three that Pulis has offered new contracts too look in any way interested in signing a new contract here.

We have a big big problem on our hands - all created by Pulis

And that's before you look at his tactics, strategy, style, and training during the week etc

Fair points them

it is very very worrying what’s going to happen to the squad and the players mind set

The mind set again isn’t right when we concede you can see it’s like oh yeah that’s meant to happen

Can't defend Pulis on anything, but it's poor planning to let 3 of our 'best' (I know) players get into the last 6 months of their contracts before opening negotiations. Speaks volumes about the amateurish way we are run

It's even worse to publically tell the press he's only offered three people new contracts

He's cheesing every player off then scratching his head why they're not playing well

Isn't this a similar problem to what we created last year?

All clubs will have this situation where they have out of contract players in the summer every season but our approach does seem strange = tell the public we have offered 3 first team players a contract but say nothing about any of the others.

I was shocked when Bannan signed a new contract extension last time - why would he other than purely for money, same for Reach.

We are hopeless  - we had a two year plan and no fall back risk management plan to cover for the possibility that it wouldn't work. We have been suffering the fallout and lack of forward planning ever since and seems like we will continue to do so with the bizarre approach to recruitment we took this summer.
