Small Man Syndrome ...

Never understood this phrase.

You mean the characteristics of leadership are accepted only in people 6ft and over?

But when the same characteristics are displayed by someone under 6ft they have 'small man syndrome'?

My boss at work is a 4ft 10 force of nature.

She's an amazing natural leader that has earned the respect of everybody. And yes - has to be authoritative at times.

Does she have 'small woman syndrome'?

I respect many of your posts so would like to know what you mean by this.

He’d achieved nothing prior to his appointment at AG and that in itself raised a few eyebrows amongst the faithful......That said he had improved our league position season on season but never actually reached the play offs.

This season the stuff he’s been serving up has been dreary, dull and uninspired - just the same as his father and fans got seriously fed up with the grey football being played and the rot set in on the day of the restart losing at Blackburn. Then you guys tuned us over at AG followed by a 1-0 loss at Forest and the final nail was losing at AG to Cardiff.

The board (Steve Lansdown............😎) finally wielded the axe today and 90% of City fans are delighted!

Evening Alan
How much has the club made on player sales over the last couple of years and how many of those were brought up through the academy.
As I see it you have one of the best academies or at least a track record for spotting and developing 1st term players in the league. As a result you have made and re-invested money exceeding most clubs not receiving parachute payments.
Johnson has spent the money and not progressed the club any where near the levels expected of the budget used,

He also appears to be constantly changing the team around so he must have a big squad to choose from.
Personally I wouldn’t want the man anywhere near Hillsboro

I don’t want Johnson. He may be slightly better than Monk but it would be minimal and not worth the unrest. Don’t get me wrong, I’m hoping Monk leaves in the summer, but not for Johnson.

It's a no from me

One of those managers (and I include Monk in that, and going back further Francis) of being nearly men, never managed to get it over the line.

Question for our Bristolian friends, from a City point of view was he even as good as his dad?

Carlos just missing out on getting us into the playoffs for the two seasons he was here is basically the job he has done then.

How many times have we been saying they will go up on here and everyone in awe of there team and model they have. And to not get in the playoffs once in that time when you look at some of the teams that have got there is all down to him I am afraid.

Carlos consolidated poo.  The form dropped off a cliff when he needed to imprint his coaching...

He’s streakier than our porkie neighbours.

He does have the nickname streaky Johnson.  Mind you you Monk does same, half a season decent, Other half aweful, I dont think he would be a massive step up, at least Monk has dropped Dawson in favour of Wildsmith

Good at selling players on and replacing them although still had a lot of funds and got nowhere. How do you have Tammy Abraham and do nothing?.

He's too feeble for me, I would laugh at him as my boss. Zero presence.

Nonsense. He hasn't been sacked "after 4 defeats", they have lost 7 of their last 8, unless we are just ignoring everything pre restart. In answer to the pointless question, we are far better off with Monk

It’s 4 successive defeats. Think that’s what the OP meant.

The Rowett that laid an egg at Stoke with all their resources and recent PL glory?

The rowett that's going to get millwall to the play offs?

Are you wanting Johnson because its better than having Monk or because you actually want to have Johnson.

I rate johnson. I'd genuinely ditch monk now and get him in.

Hes done a pretty decent job at Bristol and Barnsley.

Considering both clubs get top players pinched

lets face it, half the moaners on here wouldn't have Klopp as manager for the sake of disagreeing with someone. Time to freshen up a bit and realise we have never been good since the early 90s so attracting quality managers and players is never going to happen

I dont think that's true. Although I get your point.

We are freshening up arent we, releasing about 10 players.

All Johnson has proved is he cant take pretty poor sides and make them average. Garry Monk can easily do that.

Had we still had Bruce here would you be wanting to swap with Johnson???
