theowlsman
1971. Assuming this is a Saturday 3pm kick off, the shadows suggest it’s September, so September 1971

Kevan
Might be the never to be forgotten 5-4 triumph over the then European champions, Manchester United, in August 1968.

Comeonwednesday
Man Utd on the 31st Aug 1968 ? Ground looks very full on the picture. Attendance was 50,490. If I read the clock correctly and it is 3:21 then the score was 2:2. Is Jack Witham (who got a hat trick) the furthest forward Wednesday player? I’m sure Denis Law is at the far left with Bobby Charlton nearest the Ref and Nobby Stiles next to him. Maybe Jim McCalliog between the ref and Law. Of course Jim later played for Man U. A lot of the above is based on stance and body posture, particularly Law and Styles. What do we think?
