Winnall’s reaction when scoring

Recommended Posts

Winnall isn't technically good enough to get us promoted. I don't doubt he can score goals, he does graft and in the right team he'd do well. I just doubt that we are the right team.

He'd be a very good purchase for some team in this division.

Fair play to Winnall who kept going all night without getting a decent chance and when the cross came in from Reach he did what was required.

Also great ball out to Reach from Nuhiu who did more in his short time on the pitch than Rhodes did all night.

Would be a great move to ship Rhodes out on loan as he's completely shot! That's if there's a team stupid enough to take him.

Really do miss Fletch.

What reaction did people expect, course he was well chuffed. Most players react in a similar way when they score. I'm sure a lot of it was relief. He worked hard last night and its obvious that he does really need to play in a front two.

Pleased for him, questioned his technical ability for time but you can’t question his mentality and effort

Hope this can help him kick on

I think it depends what type of football / type of chances we create. Winnall works his socks off and when gets chances can score. He was top scorer in the year we bought him.

But if we’re playing hoof ball or floaty balls from deep he’s not the man.

Agree with this all day!

None of our forwards are the type of player that benefits from the incredibly annoying hooof ball that  we play too often! Fletcher does incredible well but  he’s actually more  productive when he has the ball played to feet (except crosses obviously) ..

NO MORE HOOOF BALL

Look at this clip of his goal on Twitter. Is there anyone that enjoys scoring as much as Winnall?  He scores and tries to keep it calm to acknowledge Reach but you can see something fizzing behind his eyes and then when Reach grabs him, Winnall’s reaction is primal.

Just look at those fans !!!

Get enough crosses in and he will score. He's a proven goal scorer, but he needs the ball to do that.

Get the ball to him in the box and he will score. Reach needs to play on the left and get more crosses in to feed the strikers.

Winnall worked really hard all night and thoroughly deserved his goal. May he have many more.

That's was a typical Wednesday away goal this season, quick ball from midfield to the wide men, aided by the fact QPR were pushing up. This gives the likes of Winnall the time and space to be clinical in these positions like Nuihu at Leeds the other week.

We don't seem to do this much at home.

What a ball by Adam Reach for 2nd away game in a row - having scored the winner in the one before that.

and there’s people posting all week that he’s a league one player the absolute know-nowts.

Bit of a mystery, as is our inconsistency and the contrast between our home and away form. Maybe it as something to do with the balance of the team? Sometimes we look solid; other times we look vulnerable, occasionally we look good going forward and a threat, other times we struggle to create anything or struggle to kill teams off. If only we could get the balance right more often? Because at times we do look an effective solid decent outfit and other times we look toothless or shambolic to be honest, which is frustrating af.

We're clearly a counter specialist side.

At home we have to play in front of the opposition, sitting quite high and try and unlock a flat back 8 whilst all the time giving bannan the ball.

Away from home we sit deeper, allowing teams the ball in our half as actually we are pretty good at defending our box... Balls in behind we struggle with, same for most teams I guess.

We need to get in a few tricker players with really good close control for Hillsborough. Our wingers are good athletes but have yet to see one of them take 3/4 on in a mazy run. Need some more nous at home as they way we play, and players at our disposal, is set up to play away.

Looked a good yard offside from the Bein Sports coverage.

About time we got one.

Well unless they had a different camera angle to BT sports then i can't see how you come to that conclusion because he's not in shot when they show Reach strike the ball for the cross

No QPR players and there were plenty appeal either

They showed a different angle in the replays.

But like I said we were due one.
