Can't understand why he choose Reading of all places?

Neither can I Crofty ...

Readings mains water supply comes from a series of underground aquifers ....

As a result the water is "hard" ...

Whilst it is safe to drink

It plays havoc with your kettles and steam irons

Furs em up to buggery ..

I hope he factored this into his finances when he made the move?......

No surprise whatsoever - I could never quite understand why so many people on here seemed to really rate him.

Steve do you mind taking part in a little Owlstalk survey ?

Some of us @Lord Snooty especially are getting confused as to where they are based

Do you actually live down south ?

Or is your name Steve a reference / pet name  to the old chappie (down south)..

He was like a perky pair of knockers in a push up bra.

There were flashes, glimpses of what might be.

But all too many times it was a bit cold and the cardigan went on.

Yes, actually live down south, junction 9 of M1.  Still miss Sheffield, looking forward to a trip home this coming weekend, but will miss out on Bristol City game thanks to Sky.

He is talented, but he doesn't have it mentally to be a top player.

If he applied himself consistently, you would be looking at a top Championship striker.

Instead, you get a bloke unplayable on his day (often as a sub), but then will go completely missing for the next 3 matches.

We did well to get what we did.
