I get the feeling you're struggling to understand how a 'rolling contract' works. lol

The last time someone told me this they tried explaining that a rolling contract was one that lasts one year indefinitely...

Never said it did, but having in depth knowledge of their strengths/weaknesses and general character would surely be info that would be invaluable to pass on to speed up Monk's consideration of what he's got available!?

Or a complete clean slate is needed !! So not one player is safe in knowing he’ll be on the team sheet

I can see what your saying. Possibly at first, but I think we and Bullen all need a fresh start. Monk will know plenty about this squad and has done very well against us under Leeds, Middlesbrough and Birmingham.

But Bullen wouldn't be picking the team!, so surely everybody would be out to impress the new manager??

I'd possibly agree if it was start of pre season, but its not, we're well under way, and i just think any help to get the new man up to speed as soon as possible would be invaluable. To get rid ,for sake of a 'clean slate' seems a bit 'throwing baby out with bath water'!!

Worst thing that happened was that sky “sources” Cowley rumour. I think the reaction would be more positive otherwise.

If it wasnt for his recent bad press I’d be over the moon with this but instead I am cautiously optimistic from a footballing POV

That's a fair point, expectation levels were for the Cowleys.

Monk still sounds a bit fishy to me.

To be fair, it did seem a bit of a stretch that they'd turn down udders, with a squad just out of prem and years of parachute payments giving them a very competitive budget, to say yes to us with an aging championship squad and a just out of yet another embargo budget. Didn't seem to logical to me!??

Knowing them well doesn’t get results. I just think it’s time to say cheers Bully but we all need a fresh start.

Lots of comments from other clubs he's managed on our Facebook page. The majority are very positive

Got a great Deliveroo rating, too

I’m hoping the manager at the press conference peels off his Garry Monk mask to reveal himself as Danny Cowley. Then he peels off another layer to reveal that he is actually Garry Monk.

I think that would be a fun ice-breaker.

Agree and what about the couple of ITKers also.

Some went for sure, but those that remain spent last season playing against far better opposition than they'll encounter in champ, and must have learnt a few things from a seasons worth up there!?

I'd argue they've got a far better base, on paper, then we currently have!
