I can see what your saying. Possibly at first, but I think we and Bullen all need a fresh start. Monk will know plenty about this squad and has done very well against us under Leeds, Middlesbrough and Birmingham.

I'd possibly agree if it was start of pre season, but its not, we're well under way, and i just think any help to get the new man up to speed as soon as possible would be invaluable. To get rid ,for sake of a 'clean slate' seems a bit 'throwing baby out with bath water'!!
Bluesteel
Worst thing that happened was that sky “sources” Cowley rumour. I think the reaction would be more positive otherwise. If it wasnt for his recent bad press I’d be over the moon with this but instead I am cautiously optimistic from a footballing POV

Monk still sounds a bit fishy to me.

Samurai Blue
I’m hoping the manager at the press conference peels off his Garry Monk mask to reveal himself as Danny Cowley. Then he peels off another layer to reveal that he is actually Garry Monk. I think that would be a fun ice-breaker. 2

Didn't seem to logical to me!?? Edited September 6, 2019 by tommycockles

upperwinngardensowl
Don’t get this “get rid of Bully, need a fresh start” line of thinking. Bullen knows the club inside out which gets Monk up to speed quickly and there more productive sooner. Anyway, we need someone to hold the fort when Monk eventually walks/gets sacked. I'd argue they've got a far better base, on paper, then we currently have! Edited September 6, 2019 by tommycockles
