He doesn't need to say anything to be fair. Bullen had the job, now it appears a new man is to be appointed. It's not first time Bullen stepped up only to be subsequently 'demoted' for another appointment!

With the greatest respect to Bully, maybe it's time for him to move on.

Like to see him have a crack at management properly in division 2 or non league.

I personally think if he leaves it will be the end of football for him.

Got his own business and doesn't need all the football sheite.

I completely agree. I love Bullen and what he’s done here but maybe it’s time for his to fly the nest so to say.

Club needs a clean slate behind the scenes.

Thought it was his wife’s business that she took on from her dad. Will stand corrected on that.

I'm underwhelmed, but I would have been horrified by Pulis so I suppose it could have been worse. If Monk's links with dodgy agents aren't a factor then that removes a big question mark - his experience in this division is decent but not dazzling.

I'd have rather had the Cowleys but they evidently didn't want to come, I'd have rather had Rowett too but evidently DC doesn't fancy him. Bullen's unfortunately proven that he's not viable as anything other than an extreme short-term option, so we end up with Monk. Can't say I'd be surprised if we're searching for another new manager next summer.

Not sure about clean slate, surely someone with years of working with large amounts of the current squad has invaluable insights to help a new manager!??

PROS

Did very well at Swansea, Leeds and Birmingham

Knows the division

Knows what its like to manage under an embargo

CONS

Alleged financial shenanigans

Middlesborough

Falls out with chairmen

In fairness, I'd fall out with Gibson, worked for a nut case at Leeds and not sure the Birmingham owners are too stable

I really don’t understand why DC would want someone being investigated for dodgy dealings and someone that has a history of falling out with his chairman. Asking for trouble imo.

Possibly. But I don’t think Garry Monk needs Bullen to tell him about the squad.
