If Hutch turned himself into a full time centre half he’d add 4 years onto his career. His legs won’t last much longer in midfield and he’s also more likely to actually kill someone playing in the middle.

I would agree, although in truth, if we are to play with just two central midfielders, we probably need different to Bannan as well.

We’d need both midfielders to be able to tackle, get up and down the pitch, and pitch in with their fair share of goals.

So true, our squad is full of "specialists" and it is such a shame as we had funds to bring in "complete" players, but it is hard to imagine us dropping player of Bannan's quality although he should try to adapt to help needs of our team even more.

I would be disappointed if we went to a central two. Hard to work out Bruce’s thinking, until we see the type of player he’s bringing in. If it’s 4-4-2, we need too much in my opinion, better to build on what we already have

Probably true, and I start thinking this on a regular basis, but then he has a stormer in midfield and I change my mind.

Agree with your point re. central two.  I just don't think we can play that way as Bannan is essential to us, but not much use in a 2.  I have a feeling Bruce will fancy something like this 4-3-3

                    Westwood

Odubajo    Lees     New      New

                   New/Hutch

           New              Bannan

New         Fletcher/New          Reach

Appreciate that is quite a few new faces, but we need a big refresh with plenty of options off the bench.  Also assumes we've signed Odubajo.

Would we be better playing the diamond in midfield?  I for one would like to see BB at the point, playing off the front 2.  I suppose his lack of goals could be a drawback.

Perhaps in a diamond, he would be better on the left of a middle two?

I have a feeling Reach may be sacrificed, perhaps to bring Hector in

I must admit going through various formations this morning, I'd totally forgotten about him.

Sam morsy still on holiday so won’t be signing this week at least

Might have already signed. Quite often its the case. I notice when signings break out in the papers and media quite often its days and weeks after its done anyway.

I don’t believe we have any interest in Morsy

Morsy  is a decent player but only that.

The kind of player who we should be capable of finding for a lot less money than is being mentioned for Morsy

We won’t be signing him for a few million as seems to have been mentioned and I would be disappointed if we did
