paulrs Posted April 19, 2019 Share Posted April 19, 2019 Hector and Westwood are the big ones for me. A spine of Westwood > Lees/Hector > Hutchinson/Bannan > Fletcher would be very very good. Obviously there's lots else to consider (Palmer,'s contract, the left-back position, cover for Hutch, who'll play out wide, trimming our list of 7 strikers) but those two are the most important IMO Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You must be joking TBF with his injury record he’d fit in well here. Sorting out what is causing so many injuries is one of his top priorities tbh and he has already pretty much stated as such. You could make an argument that despite dodgy managers and some dodgy signings, it’s injuries to so many key players that's the main reason we’ve not been promoted yet. Agreed but look at Villa and West Brom games. Fitness may be it but Joao, Bannan and Fletcher all opted for glory over possession late on today. Giving away the free kick tonight is just one example. He misses great opportunities, he makes the wrong pass, makes wrong runs....like tonight when Bannan tried to put him in. He made a run beyond a defender, so Bannan passed to him, but he checked back. There's just something about him that doesn't sit right, especially after al this time injured, or out of form then all of a sudden, near the end of his contract, he starts to try. He's had a good few months (back end of Jos, plus when Bruce/or Minions played him), I'll give him that, but it doesn't deserve a new deal off the back of it.
