Popular Post Lord Snooty
Brucie Talks....... ...Blackburn Rovers It's fair to say we got our goals at the right time for us. I always thought Blackburn were a threat, they're a good side going forward. A very good side. They've a unique partnership with Graham who's been around the block, I've had him, I know all about him , and the boy Dack, so it was difficult. At 4-1 with a minute to go, blimey, it's never that easy. Overall i'm delighted with the result against a good attacking side. ...Horrible conditions for fans and players At this part of the season it's getting a result on an awful afternoon , horrendous afternoon, you have to say thank you for the supporters who've put their coats on and their wellies because I thought Bolton was bad on Tuesday but that, that is us most difficult we've been up against in terms of conditions. And a spectacle...wuh...very difficult for the players out there. I mean, there was a spell for both teams in the second half where nobody could string a pass together! It was a difficult game overall and I am delighted with the result on an horrendous afternoon so well done and thank you to the supporters for coming down here today and getting behind your team ...Goals at both ends I wish we hadn't conceded in the way we did .We've give two poor goals away . I mean I have to say if your Blackburn for the first one it was probably the move of the match so in that respect you have to take your hat off but...yeah...we went deep too quick with too long to go and made it a bit awkward for ourselves. We dropped a little bit deep after scoring the second goal and Blackburn took advantage. They are a good side, they can hurt you, and we maybe caused a few problems for ourselves. That’s the first time we’ve conceded two goals at home since I came in a few weeks ago so I’ve said to the players, we have to be careful with that side of our game. But going forward we’ve scored at the right times, we caused Blackburn all kinds of problems at the back so that’s a real positive. ...General I have to say it’s been a real team effort, on and off the pitch. The staff who have come in with me and the lads I inherited have been fantastic. Honestly, they've worked tirelessly. And now we've given ourselves a squeak. And the players deserve all the credit because they’ve responded so well to what we’re trying to achieve. We’ve taken our chances today, we’ve given ourselves a chance now so let’s all enjoy the ride. 8
Morepork
Watched the interview. Have to say, every time it's on the money, to the point and very honest. Long may it continue. Edited March 17, 2019 by Morepork

Long may it continue. That's one thing with Bruce, even when he's been managing the opposition he's been dead straight. Remember Fernandos red at Hull and Bruce was straight out saying the ref had got it wrong. None of this "I didn't see the incident" business.
Lord Snooty
Bruce Bonus If you asked most sensible people a few months ago they’d have said we wouldn’t have a chance. We’ve got to be happy full stop going into the international break. The only down wide is Fletch has tweaked his groin; hopefully it's nothing serious and (of course) Hutchinson has a constant problem.
airborne_rat_of_s6
Thought with Hutch going off we would fold. Well done the lads.
Holmowl
I know it’s cynical but I loved it on 43 minutes, under real pressure, Bruce told Aarons to lie down to stop the game before Blackburn could take a dangerous throw-in. I don’t think we will be seeing much naivety under Bruce.

Hes certainly played a massive part in our return to form and no coincidence that we concede 2 goals after he went off yesterday.

Owl 44
I love listening to Bruce. It's like a breath of fresh air after listening to Carlos' confusing analogies and Jos' mumblings about... well who knows? Villa fans said he always said the same thing in pre-match interviews and his post-match interviews bore no resemblance to the actual game but I haven't found that at all. He sums each game up pretty well. Did love his comment about the lifeboat though.

BrumBlue
As a brum fan i ll always be a fan of bruce even though he managed villa. Think hes a very honest and more importantly a very good manager. He gets stick for not playing barca style footy. But he wins games and is actually under rated in the transfer market. I said when you announced him hed do well n he has. I think your in with a great shout for play offs. Chuft for him after the crap he got from 'them' lot down the road.
