swfcjack27
He’s been woeful all season and shouldn’t retain his place Friday. Now Loovens isn’t here to organise and hold his hand in games he looks a completely different player from before. Distribution is very poor and was beat in the air regularly today by a 5ft 10 striker. Defence is in crisis Loovens and Venancio were bigger players for us than many realised at the time. His positional play without Loovens is woeful.

Trouble is, if he gets dropped and we lose, people are going to kick off because we're not using our best and most experienced players........ Guest gizowl
Don't know why he gets in ahead of Thornily or Hector, another of many bizzare decisions, inept management.
s6 owl
Disgrace of a captain.
OwlofOliveGrove
Can kick and head the ball (shining praise, I know). Can't play out from the back or demand captain-like respect from team mates. We need a warrior and he's far too quiet.
damianb1
Not in the same class as Hutchinson as a centre half.

regi blinkered
There was a moment in the first half when lees was stood just inside the area and a Norwich player was stood literally 5 yards behind him on the penalty spot completely unmarked and lees had no idea he was there . It just summed up lees and the defences performance this season
Ronio
I think it's a bit harsh to say he has been woeful all s4eason. That is not the case. We probably should have gone back to the 352 today. That was what I was expecting. Should he be dropped next game? The answer from me would be a no.
alanharper
tbh my biggest wtf with the defensive selection was playing a back 4 but dropping player of the month Hector and playing Pudil ahead of him and Thorniley. He's alright as the left sided CB in a back 3 but he shouldn't be playing there in a partnership barring an emergency. Then again maybe the reasoning was that Lees needs an experienced head alongside him. It didn't work, anyway.
unkastav
Disappointing last 12 months without doubt. Always thought he gets bullied by opposition, lacks a nasty streak for me
Ronnie Starling
Thorniley and Hector for me should be starting ahead of Lees.
S72 Owl
No protection in front of him from the midfield. A different partner every single week. Changing from a back 3 to a back 4 every other week. Not really a surprise his performances have dropped this season is it?
fife_owl
I personally think he’s better not captain and with a leader beside him. I agree with other posters - Venancio is a big big miss for us.
Plonk
Our best centre half in the past twenty years. This clowns tactics have left him a shaking mess. Play to your strengths you German bongo
S63 Owl
Think it sums it up the games that Thorniley has played alongside him it’s being Thorniley who has been the most vocal and trying to lead the defence.
Greengrass
Scary how his 'form'has dropped this season, rabbit in the headlights at times.

Better decision maker, better in the air, reads the game just as well if not better, distribution light years ahead. Much better leader too.
