Bouncing Owl
Dawson Palmer Lees Hector Penney Joey Onomah Bannan Joao Fletcher Reach Conventional 4-3-3 today please and I don’t want to see Adam Reach in the number 10 position. This formation will allow both Onomah and Bannan play slightly further forward if Joey is screening the back 4. Reach will be allowed to use his legs which is his strength. northeastowl
Got a feeling today is the second of four defeats in a row unfortunately. Hope im wrong but we don’t seem to be at the races. Our good early form was masked by the poor teams we have been beaten, all three of them will be fighting relegation I suspect.

Spends most of his time diving and appealing for fouls. I think Hector will get the nod for that bit of Physical presence against Kodjia and Abraham. Still, I have got a feeling we could be in for a long afternoon.
Bouncing Owl
Definitely Hector today. We need a physical presence in the backline against Abraham and Kodija.
Costello 77
Nice to wake up to a terrific OMDT and the associated comments. As usual I'd like to see us play well...the point/points would make my day. I'll be happy with a performance tho..
theowlsman
I’ve got my positivity back. Villa are going to get some today. The players will be eager to improve on their midweek performance (shouldn’t be too difficult, we were shyte), and have been eating three shredded wheats all week in anticipation. Bazza has been foaming at the mouth, Lees gnashing his teeth, and Atdhe punching the horses left without trauma by Madine. There’s going to be blood, guts, n thunder and we’re going to annihilate Villa. Nevermind conceding shedloads of goals regularly, we’re going to win this one 23-22. (Nuhiu 22, Joao with the winner). Excellent thread again. Probably your best. I’ll get around to reading it later with a bag of proper pork scratchings and a glass of dandelion and burdock. They don’t like it up em these Fuzzy Woozies you know.

Rev Owl
Well done mi'Lord. Brilliantly written as usual. However while we all like a laugh don't overdo the 'voice of reason' stuff eg comparing managers and expectations. That's not going to end well. Some of the peasants will be / are revolting. Heart says 2-0 win. Head says the result won't be that good. Edited September 22, 2018 by Rev Owl

Fantastic goals by Reach and Rhodes, and a great performance all round. Old Carlos did get it right sometimes. Team was Westwood Hunt Lees Loovens Fox Wallace Bannan Butterfield Reach Hooper Rhodes Only three of those will play today, but apart from Hooper I reckon we're just as strong. No reason we can't win this. WE ARE THE FAMOUS WEDNESDAY! I agree, Carlos did get it right sometimes, but he didn't coach that strike from Reach, and it would be nice if we saw more speculative shots across midfield from Wednesday players. The the back four and midfield don't remind me of happier times either. I really hoped Carlos would turn the corner after than result, but just over a month later he was gone. Amazing result in that context.

I'm only going on the highlights of the Forrest game, but Onomah looks like he's going to be a massive player in our midfield alongside Bannan. Once they are on the same wavelength, we may have a replacement for Kieran Lee.
